Registered Home Manager

As the Home Manager at Abbeycrest Nursing Home, I lead a professional team in providing the highest standards of residential, nursing and dementia care for up to 70 residents.

As a registered nurse I began my career with at Abbeycrest in 2012. With Caring Homes support and training and my passion to learn and develop I progressed through my roles in the home and became Home Manager in 2020.

At Abbeycrest caring for our residents is our main focus they are the reason we are here, we strive to ensure they feel happy and well looked after. When our residents join us, we work with them to maintain the involvement they had in the local community so that they feel connected to their lives outside the home and fulfilled.

Each of our residents is unique and we treat them as such, creating care plans that suit their individual preferences whilst ensuring safety, comfort and the highest levels of care. Families are involved in our care planning, we share experiences and learn from each other.

We look after our residents as if they are our own family and build strong relationships, I try to put a smile on their face each day and they give me a smile in return.

Leading my team is very important to me, I endeavor to motivated and empower my colleagues to be as passionate as I am to give our residents the care they deserve. I help them to learn, develop and grow by sharing my experiences and knowledge.
