Head of Unit

My name is Cristina Cioban and I am Head of Unit. I qualified as a general nurse in 2009 and I've been working for Barchester for over 3 years. I recently joined Derham House and I enjoy being part of a hard-working team. Since my first day at Derham House I was made to feel welcomed by everyone. My aim is to deliver the best quality of care for the residents that I am looking after.

My name is Cristina Cioban and I am Head of Unit. I qualified as a general nurse in 2009 and I've been working for Barchester for over 3 years. I am the Head of Maintenance at Derham House. I joined the team in 2018 and, since then, I have also taken on the role of Health & Safety Champion. It is my duty to keep the building in good repair and ensure everyone’s safety. Derham House is a lovely home with beautiful scenery, and everyone who visits us is guaranteed a warm and welcoming hello. I’m here to help in any way I can, and will always make time for a quick chat.

I became a manager in 2003 and have completed my RMA, PTTLS, IOSH, and a Diploma in care and leadership in person centre dementia care, Challenging behaviour, and Dementia care Level 2. I have had many years’ experience and I am honoured to work in the caring industry.

I have worked in care over 12 years with 8 years’ experience in activities. I am fully trained in dementia awareness also trained as a dignity champion. I have been working here in Derham since March & I am enjoying my role here.
