Mr Sean

Head Of Maintence

Sean has been working for Edgbaston Beaumont for 6 years. He began working for the home as a Maintenance Assistant and has recently been promoted to Head of Maintenance. Sean is responsible for general maintenance around the home, driving the minibus and taking care of safety throughout the home. Sean enjoys talking to the residents and is very passionate about his work.

Ms Sabrina Bennett

Home Administrator

I have worked as an administrator in the care industry for over 10 years. I have experience in payroll, accounts and recruitment. I enjoy working in a care environment as it is a very fulfilling role to be in. I feel Barchester is a great place to work and all the staff and residents I have met in such a short time are lovely. I look forward to my future with the company.

Mr Phil Davies

Head Chef

Phil enjoys putting his artistic flare to use when creating menus for the residents. He takes great pride in his work ensuring that he meets the needs of each individual. I can highly recommend his Strawberry Saint Honore Gateaux & Meringues.

Miss Rosemary Hubble

Second Chef

I have been the second chef at Edgbaston Beaumont for 12 years and joined the Barchester Family after completing my training at The Barchester's Chefs Academy when I arrived from South Africa. I am fondly known at Edgbaston Beaumont as ' The Mary Berry of the Beaumont ' My passion and unique talent for baking delicious cakes and sweets for my residents every day is passed down from my Grandmother who was affectionately known as 'Mary Sweet' and I know each and every day she looks down on me with a big smile knowing I am using her baking recipes to provide the residents at Edgbaston Beaumont with the selection of homemade treats every day.

Mrs Manjinder Kaur

Deputy Manager

Manjinder joined Barchester Healthcare as a Nurse in April 2014 and in September was promoted to the position of Deputy Manager. She has a wealth of experience and knowledge in nursing homes. Manjinder is caring, warm, friendly and has a totally person centred approach to her work.

Hi, my name is Amie, and I have worked at Edgbaston Beaumont as a Care Assistant since 2011. I love my job and enjoy each and every moment that I get to spend with residents, building up fantastic relationships with them and their family and their loved ones. Barchester offers us the chance to undergo advanced training, which would allow us to provide better support to residents.

Deputy Manager

Stroma has been part of the fabric and furniture at the Edgbaston Beaumont for 25 years. She is responsible for the clinical management of our residents and manages a very welcoming and caring team of nurses.

Ms Sharon Robinson

Head Housekeeper

I joined Edgbaston Beaumont over 15 years ago and my reason for joining initially was a promotion from housekeeper to head housekeeper. My role includes responsibility for Laundry and Cleaning services within our home. I look after the standards within the home, training the staff to our high expectations. I am passionate about my job and enjoy chatting to the residents and interacting with them during my day. I head a team of excellent staff and am proud to lead such a caring and involved team of people.

Hi, my name is Sarah Jane

I started my career with Barchester Healthcare – Edgbaston Beaumont in April 2019 I have 3 years care experience and I also worked as an Activity Coordinator for 1 year in a Care Home. I am very passionate and committed to lead and encourage Meaningful activities for our residents. I believe in a person-centred Approach and the key to successful delivery of our activities programme at Edgbaston is including all residents in decisions of The programme events they wish to participate and promoting independence throughout the chosen sessions

Mr Phil Toomer-Smith

Acting General Manager

Hi, my name is Phil Toomer-Smith. I have recently been appointed as Acting General Manager of Edgbaston Beaumont after spending the last 7 years living in the Channel Islands, where I have worked for Barchester for the last 4 years. I am born and raised in Birmingham and know the West Midlands very well. I trained at Wolverhampton University and qualified as a nurse in 2009. I have experience in medical, surgical, trauma and intensive care nursing. My role of General Manager will require me to maintain high-quality care standards, promote independent living and ensure that person-centred care is delivered. I have a very strong clinical team who will ensure that the residents of Edgbaston Beaumont live well. Barchester has supported me in completing a BSc in Nursing at Dundee University, and I am now being supported to complete an LL.M in Healthcare Law and Ethics, again based at Dundee University. I enjoy working with older adults, supporting staff training and working with families to ensure that residents live well.
