Head Chef

Dalton has recently been promoted to the position of Head chef after working here for just over 3 years. He and his team are delighted to have been awarded 5 stars for Scores on the Doors.

General Manager

I have been General Manager here at Westwood House for over 5 years now. I have been a Registered Manager for nearly 11 years and enjoy the concept of delivering good quality care to our residents. I am very keen to provide a high standard of care for the residents who are within my care and I am keen to develop our staff team with many training opportunities.

I have a great team of staff here who always give their best and work to their full potential.

I am always to help with any queries or concerns-please do always pop in and see me if you want to.

I am the Deputy Manager at Westwood House and have been working here for almost 16 years. I work very closely with the Manager to give a high standard of client care.

I am always approachable to discuss any queries or concerns that you may have.

Ms Nicola Deegan

Administrative Assistant

I joined Westwood House at Barchester in the role of Administrative Assistant and have now been here for over a year.

Mr Suresh Deonandan

Maintenance Manager

I am the Maintenance Manager at Westwood House and have been here for over 4 years now. I am responsible for ensuring that the home is meeting all Health & Safety requirements & Fire Legislation requirements.

I am happy to help you personalise your loved one's bedrooms with placing of pictures and personal possessions.

Care Practitioner

I have recently completed my Care Practitioner training and am very happy in my new role. I have been working here since 2011 and am really enjoying my new role.

Mr Robert Dykes

Host

I am responsible for assisting with the service at meal times and providing refreshments to residents and relatives and visitors.

I also assist with activities and enjoy helping residents visit the garden and the local area.

I overseee the dining room and make it my mission to provide a high standard of presentation and a high quality of food.

I am the Senior Staff Nurse at Westwood House an have worked here for almost 15 years. I really enjoy my position and work tirelessly to give the best care possible.

Care Practitioner

I have recently completed additional enhanced training with Barchester which now allows me to support the Registered Nurses in their roles.

Head Housekeeper

Carla has worked with us for many years and was promoted to Head Housekeeper in 2017. She works with her team to ensure that the home is always of a good standard of cleanliness and hygiene.

Activity Coordinator

I am the Activity Coordinator at Westwood House and my role is to manage the activity planning, organising social events, planning trips out & booking entertainers and other visitors to come to the home.

Mrs Lucy Sankey

Care Practitioner

This year I have completed my training to become a Care Practitioner. This is an enhanced role within Barchester in which I am able to support the Registered Nurses with their roles.

Mrs Vali Stallard

Senior Nurse

Vali has now joined our team at Westwood House, having transferred over for our other local home, Thackeary House and is now our Senior Nurse on Memory Lane. She is looking forward to her new role here and is eager to get to know all of the residents and the families. Please do pop in and say hello to her and welcome her to Westwood when you see her!

Administrator

Joanne has just commenced her new role with us at Westwood House and is keen to get to know all of our residents and families and friends. Joanne has previously worked in a care home and is looking forward to her new challenges. Please do pop in and say hello to her when you are next in the home!

Raj has been with us since 2018 and works alongside our Head Chef and produces many lovely meals for our residents.
