What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?

“Kind care to me means being compassionate, gentle and caring in everything that I do.”

As a dedicated healthcare professional and registered nurse, Maria has gained a wealth of experience in providing care to elderly people to help enrich their lives, leading to her progression as Home Manager.

Maria closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that means they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.

When asked what she enjoyed most about her role, Maria remarked: “I love spending time to get to know each Resident on an individual basis and providing opportunities for them to do what they enjoy most, which really does put a smile on their faces.”

Maria credits her biggest achievement to spreading her wings and travelling to Japan for the first time.

Outside of work, Maria is a cat-lover and also enjoys an active lifestyle, often playing badminton in her spare time.
