Acupuncture

We are pleased to inform you that Dr. Claire Harrison has now successfully completed her foundation course in Acupuncture. Please make a routine appointment at reception if you feel you could benefit from this service. Unfortunately this service is currently suspended.

Baby clinics are run by all of the Partners working with our Practice Nurses starting at 8 weeks of age.

Learning disability health check

Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC - eg IUD or implant) - Contraception Services

This is provided by all the doctors. We also provide Depo injections and a Coil Fitting service but not Implanon. (Family Planning clinics are available locally free of charge).

C-Card Pick-Up Point
The C-Card Scheme is a service for young people to get free condoms, lubricants and advice about sex and relationship.

Minor surgery (e.g. removal of moles and skin lesions) - provided in-house

All GP Partners offer wart removal appointments and we have our own store of liquid nitrogen.

Dr Pearce and Dr Barry have a special interest in Minor Surgical Procedures. If you feel you could benefit from this service please make a routine appointment. In addition Joint Injections are carried out by all GP Partners.

Travel health with yellow fever - Travel Vaccinations

The only Travel Vaccinations/Service which is available of the NHS free of charge are:
• diphtheria, polio and tetanus (combined booster)
• typhoid
• hepatitis A – including when combined with typhoid or hepatitis B
• cholera
Any additional vaccinations or travel advice you require for example malaria, water hygiene, sun protection, yellow fever will be at a cost to yourself through a private travel clinic. Prior to your appointment our nursing team will research which of the vaccines listed above you require (if any), and during your appointment administer them on the NHS free of charge, but no further services are available from this practice.
