Introducing Dianne Hashmi Home Manager at Colton Lodges, Leeds

What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?

“To me, kind care is being kind and honest and caring.”

Dianne has worked for over 20 years in the industry, gaining valuable knowledge and skills in caring for the elderly. She began her career as a Care Assistant and has progressed over the years to home manager.

Dianne joined Colton Lodges because she shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.

She describes her primary responsibilities as ensuring a smooth running of the home and ensuring each Resident is treated with kindness and dignity.

She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Colton Lodges.

When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Dianne remarked: “I love making someone smile!”

Away from work, Dianne enjoys spending time outdoors and loves going walking.
