Dr Arjun Haria graduated from the University of Manchester in 2016 and went on to complete a postgraduate diploma at the University of Kent in the fields of Endodontics, Periodontics and Research. 
Dr Haria enjoys all aspects of dentistry and strives to provide a holistic patient-centred approach to his work. Arjun also has a particular interest in treating anxious adults and children by creating a relaxed and friendly environment.
Dr Kunal Patel
Dr Kunal Patel (DMD Debrechen) graduated in 2014 and during his university years spent time working on a project in Kenya helping local hospitals treat dental trauma cases. Since graduating Kunal has worked in the UK in a wide range of dental fields both in the NHS and in the private sector. Dr Patel is also an accredited Invisalign provider. 
Dr Reshma Ratansi
Dr Reshma Ratansi qualified in dentistry from Kings College London in 2015 and went on to complete a year long commitment as a core trainee in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Leeds Teaching Hospital. During this time, Reshma gained valuable experience working with patients with head and neck trauma and those with cancer. Since then, Dr Ratansi has obtained a Diploma with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and completed Advanced Botox and Fillers training with Derma Medical.
Dr Robert Jung qualified from the Medical University of Lodz, Poland in 2016.  During his time as a student, Robert participated in many international dental volunteering programmes including Germany, Poland and India. Robert is currently undertaking his PhD research study which revolves around modern anaesthesia administration and painless dentistry. 
Dr Rooshi Patel
Dr Rooshi Patel graduated with honours from Cardiff Dental School in 2016. After completing a year of dental foundation training in South Wales, Rooshi joined the Obex Dental family in 2017. Dr Patel has a post graduate certification in cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry and is currently training to place dental implants. 
Dr Zara Rehman
Dr Zarah Rehman graduated from the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, Prague in 2010 and joined the Obex Dental team in 2015. Since then Zarah has become a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery at The Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and has started a Masters course at Birmingham University in Advanced General Dental Practice. 
Dr Rehman is a keen advocate of minimally invasive dentistry and prefers to find the least destructive (often most cost effective) treatment that suits a patient’s needs. Zarah finds tackling gum disease by both clinical care and motivation to be one of the most satisfying treatments to offer; results are seen and appreciated almost immediately.

Dr Isha Patel graduated from Birmingham Dental School in 2011. Isha completed her vocational training in the London Deanery and then went on to join the team at Obex Dental. Isha is enthusiastic about advances in modern dentistry and works hard to keep up to date with industry developments and advanced techniques. She has recently completed a year-long course in restorative and aesthetic dentistry.

Adarsh is committed to broadening his knowledge and skill base through further education and has recently completed the year long cosmetic and aesthetic restorative dentistry course by Dr Chris Orr.

Adarsh enjoys all aspects of restorative dentistry and he has a gentle and kind approach with his patients young and old

Dhivina Lad

Dental Hygienist and Therapist

Dhivina Lad started working as a dental hygienist and therapist for Obex Dental in 2016. Dhivina is passionate about dentistry and completed her studies in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy at The University of Sheffield in 2016, where she was awarded the South Yorkshire prize for paediatric dentistry. Prior to this she achieved an honours degree in Biomedical Science and a Diploma in Dental Nursing. Whilst at Sheffield University, Dhivina also conducted charitable clinical work in India providing ART (atraumatic restorative technique) to children.  Dhivina works hard to build rapport with her patients and to gain their trust. She excels in treating patients with dental anxiety due to her caring and gentle approach. Dhivina believes that prevention is better than cure and educates her patients on optimal oral hygiene, which regularly results in beautiful smiles. To ensure patients are always receiving the best care. Dhivina likes to keep up to date with evidence-based dentistry by attending regular professional development courses .

Dr Georgina Price

Dental Practitioner

Dr Georgina Price qualified in 2015 from the University of Bristol with outstanding results, achieving distinctions in restorative, paediatric and orthodontic final examinations. During this time Georgina also completed a 2-week dental elective project in the Philippines working in a dental emergency clinic. Working alongside a local dentist, Georgina gained invaluable insight into their healthcare system and improved her non-verbal communication skills working with patients who did not speak English.

Working as a dentist in the UK, Dr Price is passionate about taking dental education out into the community, particularly enjoying teaching oral health care within local schools.

Dr Jey Aziz

Dental Practitioner

Dr Jeyan Aziz qualified from King’s College London with Honours in 2015. Jey went on to work in a London practice during her Foundation Year and then worked at The Eastman Dental Hospital, UCH and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Dr Aziz is passionate about teaching and she was involved in setting up a national course to help young dentists prepare for a career in a dental hospital. Jey has also completed a diploma under the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons. 

Whilst Jey is committed to all aspects of dentistry, she particularly enjoys providing a positive experience for children with her friendly and approachable manner. Dr Aziz also has an interest in treating nervous adult patients and has valuable experience in sedation techniques.

Dr Kunal Patel

Susie Cowap

Dental Hygienist and Therapist

Susanna first joined the staff team at Obex Dental as a trainee dental nurse in 2011 and she went onto to complete her training with a National Diploma in Dental Nursing from King’s College Hospital in London in 2013. In 2016 Susanna began additional professional training at King’s College Hospital and in 2018 obtained her Dental Hygiene and Therapy Diploma.

Susanna has gained valuable experience working in specialist orthodontic and periodontal clinics, as well as working with the elderly and with children. She enjoys building a close rapport with her patients and is skilled at offering smoking cessation advice.

Dr Alec Chikaher

Dental Practitioner

Dr Alec Chikaher qualified from King’s College London in 2014 and went on to work at Salisbury District Hospital as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery SHO, before joining Hitchin Dental in 2017.

Alec is committed to furthering his knowledge and skills, and has recently completed a post graduate aesthetic and cosmetic restorative dentistry course. He firmly believes in a preventive approach to dentistry and advocates treatment which preserves as much of the natural tooth as possible. Alec firmly believes in keeping patients well-informed and educated about the best ways to maintain a healthy smile.

Dr Vikash Dave

Dr Vikash Dave qualified from Guys/Kings College Hospital in 2008 and went on to work as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon for a year in the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Harlow. Vikash has extensive experience in both national health and private practice, including time in a private dental practice in Australia.

Vikash has a passion for both dentistry and learning, so he is always keen to keep up with technological advances in dental medicine. Furthermore, he is trained to provide both 6 Month Smiles and Invisalign teeth straightening for those seeking an alternative to conventional braces. Vikash is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons and has obtained a MSc in Aesthetic Dentistry from Kings College London.

Dr Rahul Doegar

Rahul qualified from the University of Manchester in 2018 and has since completed his dental foundation training year in the Harrogate and York scheme. Rahul is keen on aesthetic dentistry and hopes to complete further qualifications in this field.

During his training, Rahul undertook an elective in Cambodia where he treated children and adults who did not have access to dental care. Rahul has also volunteered at several schools where he helped educate the pupils about looking after their teeth. Dr Teresa Pernak

Dental Practitioner

Dr Teresa Pernak graduated from the Medical University in Lodz, Poland in 1995. Teresa went on to work for 5 years in a paediatric dental clinic for young children under 7. This rewarding experience led to children’s dental wellbeing being pivotal in her work and she has always worked hard to forge good relations with children and their parents.

Dr Pernak went on to achieve a 1st class degree in General Dentistry in 2000 and then established and ran her own dental practice for 5 years. Teresa moved to the UK in 2005 to begin working at our newly opened practice Hitchin Dental. During this time Teresa has undertaken rewarding dental nurse training, as well as courses in paediatric dentistry, endodontics, aesthetic and restorative dentistry.

Ameena Riasat

Dental Hygienist and Therapist

Ameena Riasat works as a dedicated dental therapist, having began her dental career as a dental nurse. Following additional training, Ameena went on to qualify as a Dental Therapist in 2015 and is now a member of The British Association of Dental Therapy. Ameena can perform a variety of dental procedures such as fillings and taking x-rays. Her dental hygiene skills include thorough cleaning and cosmetic stain removal polish.

Ameena is focused on preventative care and improving oral health by demonstrating how to use various dental tools at home and suggesting further treatments to improve the health of your gums. During her spare time, Ameena also likes to enhance her dental knowledge by studying dental literature

Dr Rhea Sangam

Dr Michael Steeden

Dental Practitioner

Dr Michael Steeden graduated in 2008 from the University of Liverpool and has been developing his skills ever since, most notably in the areas of aesthetics and endodontics. Michael has undertaken extensive training in cosmetic dentistry and advanced treatment planning.
