Asthma Clinic - Chronic Disease ClinicsThe practice nurses run the chronic disease management clinics, with the assistance of the Health Care Assistants and overseen by the GPs. If you have a chronic condition, such as asthma, COPD, hypertension, heart disease or diabetes you will be contacted by the practice every year for your annual review. This may include you being requested to get blood tests done before your appointment. Please do not wait to receive multiple reminders before contacting us to make your review appointment. This simply clogs up the clinics and increases the administrative work load for staff who management the recalls. Monitoring your chronic condition is important.
Baby clinic with health visitorThe baby clinics at Mill Street are held at 8 weeks to allow for the 6 week baby check and the first set of immunisations to be completed at the same visit. You will be called for this appointment. Your baby will be seen by both a GP and a practice nurse. Unfortunately the heath visitors are no longer based at Mill Street, but you will have been informed how to access your health visitor at the time of delivery.

Please advise the reception staff of any specific concerns or needs when making the appointment, so we can adjust appointment times appropriately.
Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC - eg IUD or implant)Dr Woodcock is able to fit long acting coils for contraception. If you would like to consider this, please make an appointment to discuss this with her in the first instance to ensure you are eligible to have one fitted.
Minor surgery (e.g. removal of moles and skin lesions) - provided in-houseMinor skin lesions, which fulfil local NHS criteria for treatment, can be removed by Dr Hargreaves for Mill Street patients. Any GP can assess your eligibility for this service
