Dr Siobhan Hewson

Dentist

Siobhan graduated from King’s College London in 2015. Prior to studying dentistry she studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Aberdeen.

During her training she particularly enjoyed working with paediatric patients and hopes to develop her skills in this area through postgraduate courses.

Siobhan places a strong influence on preventative dentistry. She likes to work with her patients to allow them to achieve their optimal oral health.

Dr Marcela Sanchez

Dentist

Marcela graduated in Colombia in 2006. After obtaining her UK qualification Marcela has been working in a variety of roles within the cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics industry.She currently contributes as a Consultant for Europe’s leading Cosmetic Industry website “MyFaceMyBody.com” and is fluent in English and Spanish.

Her area of special interest lies in Cosmetic and Minimally Invasive Dentistry as well as Facial Aesthetics (wrinkle relaxation and fillers) and Marcela offers both services to patients at William Place. She also carries out tooth straightening using Invisalign which is popular with adult patients.

Dr Amit Patel

Dentist

Amit graduated from Kings Dental School London in 2010, and has amassed a wealth of experience in general dental practice and a hospital position before taking up a fulltime position with us at William Place.  Amit enjoys general family dentistry and is renowned for his gentle and holistic approach, which puts adults and children at ease very quickly. He is passionate about working with our hygienist team to help patients maintain good oral health on an ongoing basis, and he is going to provide Vocational Training for a newly qualified dentist at our practice from 2018.

Outside of dentistry Amit is passionate about travel and football.  When he is not globetrotting to explore new destinations and cultures, he can routinely be found at the Olympic Stadium supporting West Ham United.

Dr Shane McLarnon

Dentist

Shane graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2015 gained an MFDS diploma at the Royal College Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow in 2017.

He spent a number of years working in general practice before moving to Australia for a year to continue to practice whilst enjoying the ability to enjoy both surf and sun all year round.

Shane particularly enjoys minimally invasive aesthetic dentistry taking pride in restoring teeth to looking their best! He also offers Invisalign GO treatment – the clear alternative to metal braces – which is becoming increasingly popular among our adult patients

Outside of dentistry Shane loves to travel and explore having visited New Zealand, Japan and Singapore this year alone. He enjoys keeping fit and active and likes to pretend he goes to the gym three times a week.

Dr Zahid Shaikh

Dentist

Zahid graduated in 2016 from University of Dundee with BDS (Honours). He is also a member of the Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. 

He is enthusiastic about all disciplines in dentistry and thoroughly enjoy the problem solving that comes with working in General Dental Practice. 

He is trained to provide Invisalign, facial aesthetics treatments and has a keen interest in aesthetic dentistry and root canal therapy. 

He has a kind, empathetic demeanour and thoroughly enjoys helping his many anxious patients overcome their dental fears. 

He has an interest in dental research and keeps up to date with the latest knowledge with regular CPD and dental courses to maintain his skills.

Dr Zuhal Abawi

Dentist

Zuhal graduated from Barts and the Royal London in 2008 and completed her vocational training in Surrey. She has since developed her clinical skills further and has successfully completed her post graduate studies in cosmetic dentistry with Dr Chris Orr.

In 2011, she was accepted at Eastman Dental School and she completed another post graduate certificate course in surgical and prosthodontic implantology.

Zuhal has worked in both NHS and private practices in the UK. Her special interests are in cosmetic and restorative dentistry.

She takes great pride in her clinical work and her profession. Her approach to dentistry is always in a caring and patient centred approach.

Miss Tawny Fontana

Dental Hygienist

Tawny has been a dental hygienist for over 7 years and graduated with honors in her class from the University of the Fraser Valley from Vancouver, B.C. Her dream of living in Europe became a reality in September when she decided to take the big leap to work and live overseas on her own. She puts communication, patient care and quality treatment at the forefront when working with her patients and values her patient relationships. Don’t hesitate to tell her a little about yourself as she loves getting to know who her patient are. Tawny also comes to us as an Actress from Vancouver and is passionate about film, music and travel.
