Anita qualified 1983 at the University of Umea, Sweden and has more than 30 years of experience in different aspects of dentistry, both in Sweden and other countries. From year 2000 she worked in a few dental practices in Devon until she started up her own practice in Plymouth 2006. Special interests are aesthetic dentistry including implants, crown and bridge work together with partial dentures of all designs and materials, orthodontics with clear aligners /braces as well as oral surgery. Somnowell antisnoring appliance is also a treatment option that she found is very useful and beneficial in the treatment of snoring, sleep aphnoea and other sleeping disorders.

Dr Mariska Vorster

Dental Practitioner

Mariska qualified at the University of Stellenbosch in South Africa in 2003. She came to the United Kingdom straight after qualifying and did her British equivalence examinations with the General Dental Council in London while working in the Cornwall Primary Care Trust. After completing her exams she continued to work in Cornwall doing general dentistry and sedations on phobic patients and children. For the past 13 years she has been working in Dental practices in Cornwall and Devon as an associate and locum dentist but has decided to join our team at Central Park Dental Practice as a permanent member of staff. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and especially likes the challenge of treating children and patients who are a bit nervous and apprehensive when having dental treatment.

Shan Hamarash

Dental Practitioner

Shan is originally from London, where she completed a bachelors degree in molecular biology at Queen Mary, University of London. She went on to study dentistry at UEM in Madrid, Spain. Shan appreciates that sitting in a dental chair can be a tense time for many, but she strives to make it a comfortable experience as possible.

Charlotte Thompson

Hygienist

Charlotte qualified as a Dental Hygienist whilst serving in the Royal Navy in 2000. Since then, Charlotte has worked at corporate, private and NHS practices with her focus being prevention based treatment. She has extensive experience in treating gum disease and will always give patients full treatment options. Charlotte believes that individual approach to patient care ensures the best possible treatment outcome for each patient. Charlotte has recently relocated to the South West from Essex and in her spare time she explores the wonderful local coastline.

Hannah Glover

Assistant Practice Manager

After graduating from the University of Plymouth with BSc Mathematics, Hannah started working at the practice as a receptionist in mid 2011. Hannah has since completed courses in resuscitation, fire safety, disinfection and decontamination.

Kerry Palmer

Dental Nurse

Kerry started at the practice in January 2012 with reception work and customer service duties. She qualified as a dental nurse in 2013. Kerry previously worked in the jewellery industry.

Laura Feeney

Laura joined Central Park Dental Practice in 2013 having previously worked full-time in a local accountancy firm. After completing her accountancy exams in 2012 Laura was keen to pursue a new career in dentistry and qualified as a dental nurse in 2015. Laura continues to utilise her people skills in her patient facing role.

Charlotte Wilkins

Dental Nurse

After starting a Dental Nursing course at another Plymouth based practice Charlotte joined the practice in June 2016 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in August 2016.

Jasmine Jenkinson

Dental Nurse

Jasmine started at the practice in October 2014 keen to take up the opportunity of training as a Dental Nurse. Since finishing her Dental Nurse exams Jasmine has undergone training in fire safety, resuscitation, first aid and four-handed dentistry.

Jessica joined Central Park Dental Practice in 2015, after completing her degree at the University of St. Mark and St. John. Previously Jessica enjoyed travelling for six months and has now completed her dental nursing diploma in 2017.
