The asthma clinic is run by two of our Practice Nurses on a Monday pm. The nurses are happy to see any asthmatics in this clinic and can advise on medication and lifestyle to help improve symptoms and control.

Routine baby immunisations take place at the Baby Clinic on Tuesday afternoons. The Practice Nurses give the immunisations and eight week checks are conducted by the GP also on a Tuesday pm. Appointments are sent out appropriately by the admin team at the Practice. Subsequent healthchecks are arranged by the Health Visitors who can be contacted on 01304 865400.

It is very important that children are immunised for their own safety. Serious reactions to vaccines are very rare and far less common than serious reactions to the diseases they help prevent.

The Practice Nurses hold a Diabetic Clinic every Thursday and patients are invited to attend for an annual review of their diabetic care. Appointments can be made via reception or on-line appointments booking.

The Practice Nurses provide appointments for patients with leg ulcers. Appointments can be made either via reception or via the on-line appointments booking service.

Several of the Doctors here hold minor surgery clinics and will book you in themselves when appropriate following a normal surgery consultation.

Some of our HCAs are trained to take blood. Please ask at reception and the receptionist will make you an appointment.

We offer in-house physiotherapy provided by the Deal Hospital Physiotherapy Team. Patients can self-refer into this service. More information and self-referral forms are available from reception.

We no longer hold an in-house Smoking Cessation clinic but we can facilitate referral to a local service which can support anyone wishing to give up smoking. Please ask at reception.

The Practices Nurses are able to administer travel vaccines in their routine clinics. Appointments can be made at reception or via our on-line booking facility. When booking in for travel vaccines please ensure you have your requirements in writing by visiting www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk/home.aspx or www.masta-travel-health.com. The last site may charge you for their advice. Most vaccines are available at the surgery but not all are available on the NHS. For example rabies, Japanese Encephalitis and oral cholera vaccine are not. Please check at the time of booking an appointment in case special vaccines need ordering.
