Services

Anti-coagulation and dosing can be done within the Practice. the service is provided by the Nursing team and is available every week, usually on a Thursday.

This service requires a referral by your GP

The Health Visitors provide a 'Well Baby' clinic every Monday from 1.30p.m. to 3.30p.m.

We have 2 Doctors trained to review patients with skin conditions e.g moles, skin tags. Patients who see other Doctors in the surgery will be referred to either Dr Hussain or Dr Helliwell for an opinion. Where appropriate patients can be referred 'in house' to Dr Hussain for minor surgery or if deemed necessary they will be referred to hospital.

Patients can have an IUD (coil) fitted or implant inserted at the surgery. Dr Hussain provides both services.

The Practice Nurses run regular clinics for patients who will be travelling abroad. Advice is given and where appropriate NHS vaccinations are provided. Non-NHS vaccinations, for which a fee is payable are not provided by the Practice. The Practice Nurse will provide further information and information about alternative providers if these are necessary.
Patients are advised to plan well in advance of any travel that may require vaccinations. Ideally the Practice requires 8 weeks notice of travel to ensure we can accommodate your appointment in a travel clinic. Patients must complete a travel questionnaire which will be issued at the time of booking the appointment, alternatively you can download one from our website. This must be returned to the Practice at least 48 hours prior to the appointment in the travel clinic so that the nurse can assess individual needs based on the area(s) you are travelling to and provide you with tailored advice.
