Dr Tim McDonogh is the Principal Orthodontist of practices in Purley,Redhill and Croydon. He graduated from Guys Hospital in 1992 and undertook Hospital Positions in Head and Neck Surgery in the UK and Australia for 5 years. He gained a Fellowship in Dental Surgery before commencing a post-graduate Orthodontic qualification at the University of Manchester. He obtained a certificate in specialist orthodontic training and the membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2000.

Tim is registered as a Specialist Orthodontist with the General Dental Council. He is a member of the Specialist Practitioner Group of the British Orthodontic Society, and a fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists. Tim is also a member of the British Orthodontic Society , the British Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists.

Outside of work, Tim spends as much time as possible with his three wonderful children and when time allows will watch as much cricket, rugby and football as allowed.

Dr Bushra Ahmad

Specialist Orthodontist

Bushra qualified with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 1999 from Guys Kings and St.Thomas's Dental Institute. This was followed by a series of specialist hospital posts in Maxillo-facial Surgery and Paediatric dentistry. During this time Bushra gained her Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

She completed her specialist orthodontic training in 2006 obtaining a Masters in Orthodontics as well as Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons.

Bushra is on the specialist list with the General Dental Council as well as a member of the Specialist practitioner group of the British Orthodontic Society.

Her ethos is based on providing high quality orthodontic treatment centred on patient care and comfort. This is delivered using a wide range of braces including cosmetic appliances as well as "invisible" lingual appliances.

Outside work Bushra is a busy mum of three young children but also enjoys cooking and travelling.

Dr Georgina Cartwright

Specialist Orthodontist

Georgina undertook her undergraduate training at the University of Bristol and graduated with a Bachelor in Dental Surgery in 2006. She worked in general dental practice on the south coast of England, 6 months in Australia in the Melbourne dental hospital primary care unit and two maxillofacial Senior House Officer positions in London hospitals during which she gained her Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of The Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2009.

Georgina undertook her 3 year orthodontic specialist training programme at Kings College London. Georgina trained at Kingston and Guy's hospitals and was awarded her Master of Science in Orthodontics with merit from KCL and Membership of Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2012.

Georgina is registered as a Specialist in Orthodontics with the General Dental Council. She is a member of the British Orthodontic Society and Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and is certified in the use of incognito lingual appliances.

Georgina's main interests outside of work are windsurfing and sailing.

Dr Adil Mannan

Dr Adil Mannan qualified as a Specialist in Orthodontics from Guy's, King's and St Thomas's Dental Institute London in 2001, having previously graduated with a Bachelor in Dental Surgery degree in 1994 and briefly worked in general dental practice. He undertook a 3-year full time postgraduate training programme in Orthodontics at Guy's Hospital London and St Helier Hospital Surrey, and was awarded his Master of Science in Orthodontics from London University and Membership in Orthodontics from both the Royal College of Surgeons of England and of Edinburgh in 2001. He also completed a Fellowship in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2003 and additionally was recently awarded a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.

He is registered as a Specialist in Orthodontics with the General Dental Council. He is a fellow of the World Federation of Orthodontists, a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the European Orthodontic Society and the Specialist Practitioner Group of the British Orthodontic Society.

He is the 2013 and 2014 prize winner of the prestigious "Against The Odds" UK national competition by the British Orthodontic Society for achieving life changing results for his patients with orthodontic treatment in difficult circumstances.

Dr Mannan is particularly interested in achieving naturally aesthetic smiles in harmony with facial characteristics and tailoring each patient's treatment according to their individual requirements. He enjoys working with both children and adults.

Dr Maria Peridi

Specialist Orthodontist

Maria qualified as a dentist in 2002 and obtained her Bachelor in Dental Surgery with merit. She then continued her postgraduate studies for a further two years gaining a Master in Oral Biology with distinction where she had the honour of reciting the oath having qualified first in her year.

Subsequently she undertook 3 years of full time specialist training in Orthodontics at Kings College London where she was awarded a Master in Orthodontics with merit and became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2007.

Maria is also a member of the General Dental Council, the World Federation of Orthodontists and the Greek Orthodontic Society.

Maria attends regular conferences and seminars in order to keep up to date with the latest developments in the field of Orthodontics offering her patients top quality treatment. She is indeed an active member of the organizing committee for the National Greek Orthodontic Conference.

Maria has an increased interest in aesthetic and "invisible" orthodontics. After completing appropriate courses she is certified in the provision of lingual braces (Incognito), self-ligating braces (Damon) and clear aligners (Invisalign, e-Cligner).

Maria is a proud mother of one and is soon awaiting the addition of a new younger member in her family. In her spare time Maria enjoys family days out, travelling and skiing.

Dr John Sawyer

Specialist Orthodontist

John Sawyer trained in dentistry at Kings London. He gained his Diploma of Orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital London and his Master of Dental Science in Melbourne Australia.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Australian Dental Surgeons and also lecturers in Orthodontics at Guys Hospital.

John has worked at Croydon Orthodontic Practice for 40 years and specialises with nervous patients.

He has two young grandchildren and his interests are painting (art) and playing the guitar – mainly country and rock and roll.
