Anticoagulant monitoring and dosing - provided in-houseWe operate our own anticoagulation clinic twice a week for people taking warfarin. We have a hand held machine which allows us to take the sample, confirm the next dose and book a review appointment all at the same time.
This service requires a referral by your GP
Asthma ClinicWe offer regular respiratory clinics (asthma and COPD) throughout the week with our 3 asthma nurses who all hold relevant diplomas. We have spirometry machines available to assess patients according to national guidelines. One of our nurses visits our housebound respiratory patients.
Child health and developmentDr Davies, Watson and O'Reilly all perform the 6-8 week baby checks and can also do new born baby checks if babies are born at home if the midwife can not. They can also advice on child development issues.
Child ImmunisationsWednesday am at Ware
All new babies will be given an appointment for a 6-8 week old check with one of our GP’s who holds the Child Health Surveillance Certificate. New baby immunisations can be done on the same day or by appointment thereafter.
If the time does not suit we are flexible and can organise the bay checks and imms on an other day.

Diabetes Clinic providing insulin initiationThere are special clinics (usually Tuesdays) at both surgeries for diabetics not needing hospital care; these are led by our 2 diabetic nurses overseen by 2 partners with an interest in diabetes.
Dressings clinic (nurse led)All our nurses run and perform all complex dressings including four layer pressure bandaging.
Drug and alcohol ServicesWe offer duel care with our local drug and alcohol team to help patients detox.
Hormonal injections/implantsimplants can be fitted and removed by Dr Davis
Learning disability health checkMinor surgery (e.g. removal of moles and skin lesions) - provided in-house
Minor surgery is done in booked appointments by Dr Baverstock and Dr Davies who have over 40 years of experience in removing moles, cysts and various other skin lesions.
Obesity management clinicOur health care assistants run supportive obesity management clinics and are trained in helping to support weight loss.
Primary care counselling serviceWe have an in house counsellor that you can be referred to and seen on the premises.

Smoking cessation clinicSmoking cessation clinics are run as a one to one with the patient by our specially trained Health Care Assistants with support from the doctors to allow full prescription of smoking cessation medication, such as champix, nicotine replacement and zyban.
Travel health with yellow feverThe practice nurses run travel advice and immunisation clinics at both surgeries. We have a travel form available at reception or downloaded from our website so that you can fill out your itinerary for us to work out your immunisation needs well before you travel. If at all possible please complete the form at least 8 weeks before travel so that there is enough time for any courses of vaccines to be completed and for any vaccines to be fully working. We will also advise on the up to date malaria information for your travel area. We are an official yellow fever vaccination centre.
Not all vaccine costs are covered by the NHS so you may have to pay for certain vaccines. We do accept card payment
We have an automatic doppler machine which we use to check vascular blood flow to the legs. This is run by our health care assistants.
