Services
Asthma Clinic - Asthma clinicChild health and development - Child health surveillance
The practice offers full child health surveillance in conjunction with the health visitors. The health visitors visit all families with children under five. They do routine visits to all antenatal mothers and their partners, which is followed by more frequent visits after the baby has been born. Their aim and role is to promote good health practices within the community.
This is achieved by giving appropriate advice and support on such topics as immunisation, home safety, feeding and women's health topics. With parental consent they also complete routine development checks ensuring that your child has achieved all his/her developmental milestones prior to school entry.
The health visitors run parenting classes on a regular basis and hold a new baby clinic at the surgery every week. No appointment is necessary. The best time to phone is before 10.00 am on 01202 722233. Messages may be left on the answerphone and the health visitors will ring patients on their return to the office on
Please ensure your child is fully protected by being immunised. If you have any worries about the safety or otherwise of the procedure, then please arrange to discuss the problem with either the health visitor, practice nurse or doctor.
