Practice Nurse

Justine is one of our lovely and experienced practice nurses and is usually on duty on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.  Justine can see patients for a wide variety of reasons such as child vaccinations, health promotion, diabetes and more.

Jenna

Healthcare Assistant

Jenna is our Healthcare Assistant and comes with a wealth of knowledge and experience having worked in a hospital environment for a number of years.  Jenna works under the direction of the GP or nurse and therefore cannot diagnose a problem.

You will see Jenna for things such as blood tests, ECG's, reviews & health checks.

Practice Manager

Karen has been with the practice for 12 years and is the Clinical Practice Manager.  Karen is responsible for the day to day running of the practice and undertakes some healthcare work such as flu clinics, smoking cessation and assisting with minor surgery.  Please direct all comments and complaints to Karen and any thoughts that you might have on patient service development.

Mrs Sue Khan

Management Support

Sue has been part of our team for many years and is our management support providing data and technical assistnace based on her many years medical training and experience of general practice.  As a trained Nurse Sue may occasionally see patients.

Leanne

Reception Staff

Leanne is one of our friendly reception team and has been with the practice for a couple of years.  Leanne has developed her knoweldge considerably over this time and has valuable knowledge gained during her previous work in the hospital environment.

Emma is our lovely relief receptionist so you will not see her every day.

Services

The practice holds a minor surgery clinic every 2 weeks for the removal of moles, skin lesions, skin tags, cysts and other minor complaints. To access this service please make an appointment with Dr Khan to assess suitability for the clinic.

This service requires a referral by your GP

Blood tests can be done if these have been requested by a GP, Consultant or other medical professional. An appointment should be made with our Healthcare Assistant for this. Unless told to fast, please ensure that you drink plenty of liquid before attending the appointment and wear clothing that can easily be removed to access the arm. If you are prone to fainting or anxious about the test please let the Healthcare Assistant know and they may lie you down for this.

This service requires a referral by your GP

There is a counsellor who runs a clinic each Wednesday at the practice. A referral from the GP is required to access this service.

If you would like to stop smoking we have a specialist clinic on a Wednesday morning. You will receive smoking cessation products and support to help you quit during a 12 week programme. You may need to pay a prescription charge. Please contact the surgery to make an appointment.
