This dedicated and engaging GP has now worked for Market Square Surgery for over three years. He sees all general medical cases, and has a special interest in dermatology, skin surgery, joint injections and child health. He also sees patients for antenatal checks, child surveillance and contraceptive advice.

When asked what he like best about his work, he said "I think we have the best job in the world. It is a true privilege for us to be allowed to partake in other people's lives, and if we can help, even in a very small way, that is very special. In this world where the NHS must be increasingly efficient, and where the GP is now the only Generalist medical role, we must act more as a community primary care physician than the old fashioned pastoral family doctor. Given this, the consultation time with the patient is still the best part of the job."
