Child health and development

Child Health Surveillance We carry out 8 week developmental assessments. Your baby will normally be sent an appointment for our Child Health Clinic. Mother’s postnatal check will also be carried out at this appointment. If it is impossible for you to attend this clinic we may be able to arrange baby’s developmental check and Mother’s post natal to be done at a different time.

Child Immunisations

If it is impossible for you to attend this clinic we may be able to arrange baby’s developmental check and Mother’s post natal to be done at a different time. Child Immunisations These are usually given by a Practice Nurse at our regular immunisation clinic. Immunisations may be arranged at other times if necessary.

Learning disability health check
Minor surgery (e.g. removal of moles and skin lesions) - provided in-house - Minor Surgery & Joint Injections

Some minor operations and joint injections are carried out at the Surgery. Please make an appointment in the normal way so that your problem can be assessed.

This service requires a referral by your GP

Phlebotomy - Blood Tests

These are carried out be The GP Phlebotomy Service in the Adult Day Hospital, at The Royal Oldham Hospital all week, Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 4.00pm.

Alternatively you can attend the Walk In Centre, Lindley House, John Street, Oldham between 7.00am – 10.00am. Please telephone 0161 785 7500 before attending to ensure a nurse is on duty to take your blood.
Remember to take your blood card and proof of ID

This service requires a referral by your GP

Smoking cessation clinic

This can be accessed on a self-referral basis. Please ask at reception for details.

Travel health with yellow fever - Travel Immunisations

Please contact the surgery if you have any queries regarding the type of immunisation you require. The nurse can advise you on the immunisation you need in order to travel safely and when it is best to have it. Please give yourself plently of time before you are due to travel to get an appointment to receive your immunisation.
