Services
Asthma Clinic - Asthma ClinicIt is recommended that patients living with asthma have it reviewed once a year.
You will be sent a reminder when your asthma review is due, normally during your birth month and you can book an appointment with one of our practice nurses.
Don’t forget to bring your inhalers!
It is essential that you give your children the best protection from dangerous infections.
We provide Child Immunisations from the first few weeks of life to a child’s teenage years.
Please book an appointment with the Practice Nurse.
\If you have been diagnosed with COPD it is essential you have it reviewed yearly- this includes a lung function test, also known as spirometry.
It requires a double appointment with a gap inbetween.
If you are due a COPD review, usually during your birth month, please book an appointment with the Practice Nurse.
The Surgery runs three specialist diabetes clinics across the two sites a week with our specialised diabetic nurse.
We also ensure that patients with diabetes are contacted when their annual or 6 monthly review is due.
It is vital that patients with diabetes attend their reviews to ensure that they are closely monitored for their own health.
Phlebotomy - Blood Tests
A doctor may ask you to have a blood test to help diagnose your symptoms or you may need one for an annual review or NHS Health Check. For the patient’s convenience we provide dedicated phlebotomy clinics on selected mornings each week.
These are from 8:20 onwards so you don’t have to wait too long for breakfast if it’s a fasting blood test.
If you’ve been asked to have a blood test, please speak to reception to arrange an appointment.
This service requires a referral by your GP
Smoking cessation clinicQuitting smoking has countless health benefits and of course saves you and the NHS money.
The surgery offers smoking cessation support and advice as part of the Livewell Suffolk service.
For more information, visit www.livewellsuffolk.org.uk
If you’re travelling abroad you may require some vaccinations for the safety of your health.
Please visit www.fitfortravel.org to see if you require and travel vaccinations. If you do require any vaccinations, please speak to reception to arrange an appointment.
Some vaccinations will require payment, if this is the case you will be asked to pay the cost when you book the appointment as we have to order each vaccine on a case-by-case basis.
The cost is not legally payable by the NHS and therefore must be met by the patient.
