As part of our respiratory monitoring clinics the asthma clinic happen every Thursday.

Reviews for COPD happen alongside other respiratory monitroing on Thursdays. A specialist test called spirometry which looks at lung function is reviewed on an annual basis. These clinics happen on alternate Wednesdays.

Apsley Surgery is one of a handful of GP surgeries in Stoke-on-Trent that work the diabetic specialist nurses and the team of consultants from the local hospital to initiate patients onto Byetta in practice instead of having to go to the hospital to receive this specialist treatment. The clinics are run with Sister Rushton and Dr Sri who both specialize in diabetes and they will refer patients into the clinic to be see if they are suitable candidates for this service.

This service requires a referral by your GP

These clinics are for patients who want to loose weight and want a bit of help and monitoring from our nursing team. They are also intended for patients on anti obesity medication for a monthly check up before the prescription is arranged.

Travel advice is readily available for all patients going abroad. Please note that any immunisations that need to be organised must be given at least 6 weeks prior to you leaving to ensure that you are suitably covered. If you are unsure if you require vaccinations please make an appointment with the Practice Nurse who can discuss this further with you.
