Dr Krishan Varma
Dr Varma is an associate dentist at 10 Dental. Since graduating from Manchester University in 2007 he has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in order to provide the highest quality dentistry. He has completed two year-long courses in restorative dentistry under theguidance of renowned specialist prosthodontist Dr Paul Tipton, in addition to a one-year course in implant dentistry.

With an eye for detail from a young age, Dr Dodd says he knew dentistry was the profession for him.

He started his career studying dentistry at The University of Manchester, and later completed the Royal College of Surgeons MJDF postgraduate qualification before moving into private practice.

Since graduating in 2007, Dr Dodd has not ceased professional study and was named the North West’s Best Young Dentist at the Dentistry Awards in 2012 and again for the second time in 2017 at the Dental Awards.

He has a special interest in restorative cosmetic and implant dentistry, which sees him perform intricate treatments such as ‘smile makeovers’, involving veneer, dental implant, crown and bridge placement.

In 2013, he completed a Masters degree in Restorative Cosmetic Dentistry at The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) and graduated with Merit. He is also a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

On completion of his Masters, Dr Dodd embarked on further study in implantology, gaining a Diploma in Dental Implantology with Merit from the same university. He offers implant treatment as a solution to missing teeth or to give support to full dentures.

Dr Dodd is experienced in dealing with a wide range of cosmetic cases, and has had one of his case studies published by a leading dentistry magazine. He regularly treats patients who want a whiter, straighter smile, as well as those needing more complex smile makeovers due to chipped, missing or severely misaligned teeth.

He offers short-term orthodontic treatments, including Invisalign, lingual braces (fitted inside the teeth and ‘invisible’ to others) and traditional braces (fitted to the outside of teeth).

He complements his dental portfolio with facial aesthetic treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers, and was the first dentist at 10Dental to introduce a facial rejuvenation offering.

Dr David John Garmory

Dental Practitioner

Dr Garmory qualified in 1988 from the University of Liverpool as a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. During his final year, David was awarded a Scholarship Award for undertaking the most surgical periodontal work out of all the Dental Students that year. This ambition to strive for clinical and academic excellence has been one of David's strengths throughout his entire career.

David's entire working life has been dedicated to his patients at 10 Dental. He joined the practice in 1989 as an associate, and three years later became a Partner. He spent 6 years alongside his clinical work as a Vocational Trainer, mentoring dentists in their first year post-qualification in the management of their surgery - both clinically and administratively.

David's interest developed in the area of Cosmetic Dentistry, and he embarked up a Masters in Restorative Cosmetic Dentistry in 2007. He successfully achieved his MSc in 2010, also achieving the highest grade of his year group. His research focus was on "How is the Ostell Mentor Instrument used in Clinical Practice?", which has helped him with the management and restoration of complex Dental Implant cases. He also became a member of the Joint Dental Faculties in 2009, following the successful completion of the MJDF examination awarded by the Royal college of Surgeons of England.

David's teaching profile has included an Honorary Clinical Tutor position in Periodontics at the University of Liverpool Dental Hospital, and a Visiting Lecturer position at UCLan, Preston.

David has also worked as a Clinical Assistant in Orthodontics.

Krishan is currently embarking on advanced training in occlusion and aesthetics at the world famous Dawson Academy, as well as a Masters degree in Aesthetic Implantology at the University of Central Lancashire. This three-year long programme will equip him with the knowledge and clinical training necessary to be able to provide Dental Implants to patients who are missing teeth.

Dr Varma has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry, in particluar short-term orthodontics, and is a certified practitioner of the innovative 'Inman Aligner' system, which can straighten teeth in as little as 6 weeks. 

He especially enjoys treating nervous patients, in particular those who have avoided treatment for long periods due to previous bad experiences, and aims to reinstill their confidence in the dental profession with his relaxed, caring approach.
