Baby clinic with health visitor

If you would like your child to see a Health Visitor, a drop-in clinic will be held at The United Reformed church in Oakfield Avenue on Monday afternoons between 13:30-15:30

Child health surveillance (6 week checks) is carried out by Dr Lacey

The health visitor also arranges appointments for children to be seen at the surgery. If you would like to speak to a health visitor please contact 01243 674040

Child Immunisations

Our child immunisation clinic is held here on a Thursday afternoon between 2.30-4.15pm. Your child will automatically be invited to the clinic when their vaccinations are due. If you have any queries regarding child immunisations, please contact reception on 01243 671833.

Chiropody - provided in house and available on NHS

We have 2 podiatrists, Beth and Elwyn who are based at our surgery on a Wednesday & Thurdasy. If you require their services please pick up a self referral form from reception.

COPD clinic with spirometry - Asthma & COPD clinic

Asthma and COPD clinics are held for our patients who have been diagnosed with breathing difficulties or respiratory disease. There are over 5.4 million people diagnosed with asthma in the UK. Asthma can be triggered by a variety of factors and can affect a person at any age in their life.

Due to advances in medicine, asthma can be a very manageable disease. It is essential however that patients diagnosed are seen annually by Nurse Practitioner Norma Bushby, who will undertake a variety of tests such as a ‘spirometry test’ which measures the way in which you are breathing.

Learning disability health check
Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC - eg IUD or implant) - Family Planning

Dr Michele Lacey is our doctor who specialises in all aspects of ‘family planning’.

If you wish to discuss starting a family, or different methods of contraception such as the coil or Nexplanon it is recommended that you book an appointment with her.

You are able to discuss different contraception methods in a routine appointment with her, however any procedures that you may need will need to be booked into her family planning clinic on a Thursday afternoon.

Minor surgery (e.g. removal of moles and skin lesions) - provided in-house

We are lucky enough to offer a minor surgery clinic here at The Medical centre and now have use of a fantastic purpose built 'minor operation suite'.

Dr Bhatt and Dr Crane take turns in leading these clinics .

Before you can book into the minor surgery clinics you will need a routine appointment with any doctor.

Please note we do not remove lumps and bumps for cosmetic reasons

Pharmacy available on-site - The Witterings Pharmacy

The ‘Witterings Pharmacy’ is located just inside Witterings Medical Centre. You can access the pharmacy through the surgery, or use the separate entrance when the surgery is closed.
'Witterings Pharmacy' opening times are:
Monday - Friday: 06:00 - 21:00
Saturday & Sunday: 07:30 - 20:00

There are also 2 other pharmacies available in the villiage: Boots and Link.

Physiotherapy - provided in house and available on NHS

We have a Physiotherapist Simon, who is based out our practice on a Tuesday. If you would like to make a self referral to Simon, please pick up a form form the reception desk..

Smoking cessation clinic

Sarah is our smoking Cessation advisor. She offers appointments on a regular basis.

Smoking is recognised as one of the hardest habits to stop and as each person is different Sarah can discuss all the different options and which products may be best suited to you.
Working closely with out Nurse Practitioner, Sarah is able to prescribe suitable products to help you stop smoking
