Child Immunisations

6-8 weeks baby checks and all immunisations done at the surgery except BCG. Please book 6-8 weeks with doctor well in advance as it needs double appointment. Immunisations can be booked in with the nurse as a single appointment.

Learning disability health check
Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC - eg IUD or implant) - Intra-uterine device fitting and checks

Contraception and family planning
Please come and see the doctor to discuss the various options available. Follow up appointments can be with the nurse or one of the doctors.
We do offer IUCD & Implant Insertion. It needs double appointment so please inform the reception while booking appointment.

Phlebotomy - NHS Health Check

The NHS Health Check programme aims to help prevent heart disease, stroke, diabetes, kidney disease and certain types of dementia. Everyone between the ages of 40 and 74, who has not already been diagnosed with one of these conditions or have certain risk factors, will be invited (once every five years) to have a check to assess their risk of heart disease, stroke, kidney disease and diabetes and will be given support and advice to help them reduce or manage that risk. Please call to book appointment for free NHS health check.

Smoking cessation clinic

The surgery has a Smoking Advice Clinic on alternate Wednesday mornings. Please book your appointment at reception. Referral is not needed.

Travel health with yellow fever

The Nurse can give travel immunisations, but you should book an appointment for the immunisations you may need as soon as you know which ones they are, as some immunisations require a course of injections or tablets and this can take several weeks. We may be unable to oblige if the notice given is insufficient and you may then need to attend the travel clinic at your local hospital.
