Services
Child ImmunisationsWe perform all childhood immunisations except the BCG.
For the BCG you will need to attend Stag Lane Clinic. All the other immunisations are usually carried out at our Baby Clinic between 1pm and 4pm every Tuesday. Your child will be called up for immunisation from the central health authority computer. Sometimes there are delays so if it’s the right time (see below) but you’ve not yet had an appointment sent, please bring your child to our Baby Clinic. Also due to the complex schedule, and the short time scale, you may receive appointments for immunisations already given so check carefully. Please check-in at Reception and you will be added to the Nurse’s immunisation list. You may also book in to see the Health Visitor at the same time. Please remember to bring your child’s Red Book so we can record the details for you.

If your child has a fever, is obviously very unwell or is just starting an illness, it is best to postpon
Minor surgery (e.g. removal of moles and skin lesions) - provided in-house
Lumps, bumps, skin tags, cysts and other skin lesions can be surgically removed, frozen or burnt off at the surgery. You will first need to see the doctor to assess the suitability and discuss the procedure. Minor surgery usually takes place between surgeries in the afternoon.
We are committed to helping people to stop smoking, probably the most effective health intervention we can make. As part of the Brent Smoking Cessation programme, group sessions are run locally with a choice of times and venues. We offer the full range of support to help you quit and certain pharmacies locally offer free patches and gum. Please ask at reception or talk to your doctor or nurse.
These are the free telephone help-lines: Quitline 0800 002200 (Mon-Fri 12 noon – 7pm), Pregnancy Quitline 0800 002211, Asian Quitline: Gujerati 0800 002255 (Tues 12-7pm), Hindi 0800 002266 (Wed 1-9pm), Urdu 0800 002288 (Fri 1-9pm), Punjabi 0800 002277 (Thurs 12-7pm), Bengali 0800 002244 (Mon 1-9pm).
A very good overview on how to stop smoking is at Giving Up Smoking.
We administer the full range of travel vaccinations and advice. We are an authorised Yellow Fever centre.
It is recommended you make an appointment to see the Practice Nurse at least 6 weeks before travelling. This gives a chance to have all the vaccines you need. If you are travelling at short notice, we can administer an accelerated programme though this is not so satisfactory. When booking your appointment, tell the receptionist you are coming for travel jabs. People working abroad, especially aid workers, may require extra immunisations.
Diphtheria/Tetanus, Polio, Typhoid, Hepatitis A are all available free of charge.
Yellow Fever, Meningitis A&C or ACWY, Hepatitis B and Rabies are chargeable (see fees for private services). Certificates are included.
Japanese B Encephalitis vaccine is only available privately from Masta.
Dip/Tet and Polio may require a booster every 10 years for travellers to certain areas.
Heptatitis A requires a booster vaccine 6-12 months after the f
