Dental Practitioner

Urvi qualified from University of Wales College of Medicine (Cardiff) in 2003. She then worked in general practice in London and Hertfordshire. She became the Co-Principal Dental Surgeon of Hoddesdon Dental Surgery in April 2007 and completed her MFGDP qualification in March 2008.

Urvi has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry and in September 2008 she completed a year long course in cosmetic dentistry and is a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.  She undertakes the restorative part of implants and is also a Clear braces and six months smile practitioner.

Urvi is also a VT trainer.

Urvi is very passionate about dentistry and has the constant desire and drive to learn new and exciting techniques.

Urvi is always happy to discuss in confidence with patients and prospective patients any issues they may have clinical or non clinical

Dr (Mrs) Bindi Shah

Dental Practitioner

Bindi  qualified from University of Wales College of Medicine (Cardiff) in 2001. She then worked in general practice in London and Hertfordshire. She became the Principal Dental Surgeon of Ashwell Dental Surgery in October 2004 and is completed her MFGDP qualification in November 2007. Bindi is very passionate about dentistry and has the constant desire and drive to learn new and exciting techniques. She enjoys working with nervous patients and children helping them to reduce their anxiety.

As Ashwell Dental Surgery’s reputation for quality care grew, in 2006 she expanded the practice from two surgeries to four in order to meet demand.

Bindi became the Co-Principal Dental Surgeon of Hoddesdon Dental Surgery in April 2007 and became the Prinicipal Dental Surgeon of Great Shelford Dental Surgery in December 2012. .

Dr Ben Marion

Dental Practioner

Ben is a friendly and enthusiastic member of the team. He will happily take the time to discuss any dental issues you may have, and particularly enjoys helping more nervous patients feel at ease. 

Graduating from Barts and The London Dental School, Ben has a special interest in Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, and Dental Pathology, and holds a Bsc (Hons) in Forensic Biology.

Outside of Dentistry, Ben is a keen Saxophonist, and has performed all over the United Kingdom and Europe, including a spell aboard the Queen Elizabeth II ocean liner.

Dr Dip Malde

Dental Practitioner

Dip qualified from King's College, London in 2011. He is very passionate about his job and takes great pride in his work. He is good at communicating with patients, striving to put their interests at the forefront. He is particularly good at managing anxious and nervous patients.

Dip has a keen interest in periodontology, restorative and implant dentistry. He is currently undergoing further training in restorative dentistry and hopes to become a periodontal specialist one day. He is also trained at providing hypnosis, which is a great tool in the management of nervous patients. Apart from providing general dentistry, Dip provides implant treatment and clear braces.

Outside work, he enjoys travelling and experiencing new cultures. He is also what we call a fitness freak, enjoying the gym, boxing and squash.

Mrs Gina Bond

Hygienists

Gina trained at Guys Dental Hospital qualifying as a Dental Hygienist in 1999. She enjoy all aspects of my role as a Dental Hygienist from simple scaling and polishing to extensive Gum Disease Therapy. She is most passionate about is prevention of dental disease and educating patients the best ways to avoid any future problems. Her aim during treatment is to provide gentle yet thorough treatment in a calm and relaxed atmosphere and for  patients to leave with fresher breath and a confident smile

Dr (Mrs) Lena Vakil

Oral Surgeon

Lena qualified from the University of Wales College of Medicine in 1991. 

She commenced hospital based Oral and Maxillofacial training and obtained the Fellowship in Dental Surgery in 1994. She entered the GDC Specialist Register in Oral Surgery in 2004.   

Lena has worked in many hospital settings carrying out all procedures in Oral Surgery. She also ran an Oral Surgery Unit in Sydney, Australia and was formerly a lecturer at St Bartholomew’s, Royal London Hospital and at Whipps Cross University Hospital where she clinically supervised postgraduates. Lena has also been involved with teaching via an e-learning platform.   

In 1996, Lena established an Oral Surgery referral service in Docklands with Tower Hamlets PCT. Her referral base covers approximately 30 practices.   She is a member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons and has completing a Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons (Eng).
