Services

We have several Nurses who are trained in services to patients with asthma. In addition to designated clinics, they will see patients on an ad hoc baisis during a general clinic if this is more convenient. Please ask the Receptionist for details.

Several of the Doctors at the surgery are qualified to carry out child development and assessment clinics. These are held every Friday morning at the surgery, and in addition to the Doctor, a Health Visitor is available for advice and discussion regarding your child's progress, and a Nurse from the practice will give any immunisations which are due. We feel it is vital that all children received the recommended vaccinations in childhood, and appointments and reminders are sent to parents to ensure that all children are given the opportunity to attend.

Most of our Practice Nurses are trained to administer childhood immunisations to children under 5 years of age. There are designated clinic times for these immunisations, but as we are committed to the importance of ensuring all children have the opportunity to be vaccinated, we are happy to make an appointment at other times providing the Nurse is vaialable, so that parents who cannot bring their child to the clinics are not prevented from having the chils immunised.

We offer a full  service for regular monitoring of patients with respiratory disease. Nurse have specialty training in COPD and Spriometry to ensure that patients have the best possible control of their symptoms.

Our Nursing Team are available for patients with weight problems. The appointments are 20 minutes duration and provide the opportunity for the patient to receive advice and monitoring from a trained health professional.

If you wish to see one of the Mental Health Practitioners, please ask for a leaflet regarding their services, which may be obtained from the receptionists. There is a telephone number which you should ring which will connect you with their services. Your issues will be assessed and an appointment will be made for you to see one of the counsellors at the surgery at a time convenient for yourself.
