Rahul joined Gorse Covert Dental Practice in September 2014 and is keen to learn new techniques to further his career. 

He qualified in 2011 from Leeds Dental Institute with Merit and then spent one year as a foundation trainee in Cleckheaton (West Yorkshire) and went on to spend a further year at York District Hospital as a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery to improve his oral surgical skills. During this time, he presented an audit at regional level on the success rates of removal of facial basal cell carcinomas (skin cancer) and also passed the necessary exams to achieve membership in the faculty of dental surgery (Glasgow). 

Rahul enjoys all aspects of dental practice and is always attending courses to learn new concepts. 

Outside of work Rahul enjoys travelling and food (he says, "Who doesn't love food?!"). And he states his main dislikes are traffic, roadworks and rain! He plays squash, football and cycles in his spare time, and recently became a PADI qualified open water diver.

Dr Nilesh Shah

Dental Practitioner

After joining the team in 1992 and then progressing to become a partner in 1994, Nilesh became the Principal Dentist of Gorse Covert Dental Practice in 2009.

With a Masters Degree in Oral Implantology from the University of Sheffield and a special interest in Cosmetic Dentistry, Implantology and Oral Surgery, Nilesh has trained at the internationally renowned 'Pankey Institute for Advanced Dental Education' in Miami, USA.

As the first dentally qualified ISO 9000 Quality Assurance Manager in the UK, the winner of a Research Prize for Dental Implant related research from the Association of Dental Implantology and the holder of a Certificate in Counselling Skills from the University of Nottingham, Nilesh is a highly respected dental clinican who places great importance on the role of education in his ongoing professional and personal development.

Nilesh also supports the development of other dental professionals through his role as a Clinical Mentor for Astra Tech, 3M ESPE and the Association of Implantology. In addition, he lectures nationally and internationally on Dental Implants and lectures at the University of Salford on their Implantology Masters Programme. He is also an Examiner for the FGDP(UK), a foundation Dentist Trainer and has been an Examiner for membership of joint dental faculties MJDF Royal College of Surgeons since 1998.

Nilesh speaks Gujarati. He is father to Neha and Aaran and is a demon badminton player and deadly golfer.

Dr Hamzah Suliman

Foundation Dentist

Dr Hamzah Suliman graduated from University of Liverpool with Distinction in Restorative dentistry and in Oral health.  Hamzah has a gentle, friendly and caring approach to his patients which fits in with his ethos of treating his patients as though they are his own family. Hamzah has a keen interest in Oral surgery and Cosmetic dentistry and would like to further his skill-set to provide the best treatment possible to his patients. He is really passionate and inquisitive about dentistry, he strives to be a perfectionist in what he does, this benefits his patient’s with quality treatment and the ability to regain the confidence in their smile. Away from the practice, Hamzah enjoys time with his close ones as well as being a keen traveller to different parts of the world with his family and friends. He enjoys leading an active lifestyle, enjoining various sports including cricket, football, badminton and martial arts. Hamzah is a huge fan of food, he loves experiencing different cuisines from all over the world - he states to be a great cook, however this cannot yet be confirmed! Hamzah is an avid Liverpool F.C fan thus ingrained within him is the core belief that all his patients at Gorse Covert Dental will be treated as a big family and ‘You’ll never smile alone!’

Dr Andrew Toy

Dental Practitioner

Andrew qualified as a dentist from Bristol University in 1980. He has been treating patients with fixed and removable braces since 1981, completing the 2 year part-time Orthodontics course at Sheffield University in the mid 1990's.

With a special interest in Invisalign Clear Aligners, Andrew started using the Invisalign advanced teeth straightening system in 2007. Since then he has developed his skills to become one of the most experienced Invisalign practitioners in the UK - with over 300 patients in treatment.

Gaining 'Platinum Invisalign Provider' status in 2010, Andrew is an accredited Invisalign Teen Provider and has been selected as a Clinical Lecturer on Invisalign for Align Tech UK. When lecturing, Andrew teaches dentists and their teams throughout the UK and Ireland how to best use the Invisalign system to help patients achieve the perfect smiles they are looking for.
