Asthma is a respiratory disorder characterised by wheezing, usually of allergic origin. All our Asthmatic patients have the opportunity to attend or asthma clinics. Our aim as a practice is to minimise the number of asthmatic attacks in patients, and the only means of us controlling your asthma is for you to attend the practice on a regular basis. If you feel unwell please do not hesitate to contact the practice to make an appointment with the Practice Nurse.

The leading cause of death in Salford is from smoking related diseases - heart attacks, angina, cancer of the lung, throat and mouth, vascular disease to the brain and legs. If you smoke - PLEASE STOP. Chapel Medical Centre offers patients a smoking cessation clinic and has recently had many successes with the help of nicotine substances. If you are serious about quitting, please make an appointment with our Healthcare Assistant.

Please ask at Reception for a travel questionnaire.  Once you have completed the questionnaire return it to reception, this will then be checked by our practice nurse. One of the reception team will then contact you to book an appointment for any travel vaccinations you may require.
