Asthma Clinic - Asthma ClinicSr Smith has a special interest in asthma and COPD (formerly known as chronic bronchitis and emphysema). Woodside Surgery can perform spirometry to aid in the diagnosis and management of these chronc diseases. Patients are regularly reviewed with the aim of living a symptom free life.
Child health and development - Child Health Surveillance (CHS)All of the GPs are involved in Child Health Surveillance in conjunction with the attached Health Visitors.
COPD clinic with spirometry - COPD ClinicSr Smith has a special interest in asthma and COPD. She can perform spirometry to aid in the diagnosis and management of thei chronic condition formerly known as chronic bronchitis and emphysema
Learning disability health checkLong-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC - eg IUD or implant) - IUDs
Fitting and checking of Intra-Uterine Contraceptive Devices (usually called "Coils") is done at the surgery. This is usually performed by Dr Carolyn Rigby and some of the Practice Nurses. Please make an appointment with either the practice nurse or a GP to discuss the fitting of an IUD- swabs will be taken and an appropriate time arranged.
Minor surgery (e.g. removal of moles and skin lesions) - provided in-house - Minor SurgeryAll of the GPs and the practice nurses are involved in performing Minor Surgery procedures on their patients. We try and do these in the surgery wherever possible to save you having a trip to the local hospitals. Please see the GP in a normal appointment first so the best treatment options can be discussed.
