Dr Sandilands grew up in Birmingham and qualified at Birmingham University in 1989. She is now one of the senior partners at Rushall Medical Centre.

As well as carrying out her normal GP duties, Dr Sandilands is helping to train and develop first year students from Birmingham University who will eventually go on to become Doctors working in the local area.
