Asthma Clinic - Asthma Clinic
COPD clinic with spirometry

Our nurses provide the quality COPD services you need to manage your condition , referring on to the doctor where appropriate. We will invite you once a year if you have not made an appointment.

Joint injections

Several of the doctors offer on the spot joint and soft tissue injections where appropriate. These can be an invaluable help with pain in a wide range of conditins affecting the joints and soft tissues.
If your doctor does not do injections, then she or he will refer you to another who can.

Learning disability health check
Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC - eg IUD or implant) - coils and Implant Contraception

We offer these procedures done by one of our excellent female GPs . For coils, a joint appointment is needed with the nurse and doctor together.

This service requires a referral by your GP

Minor surgery (e.g. removal of moles and skin lesions) - provided in-house

We have sessions approximately every 2-3 months when the doctors will remove appropriate skin growths. We are not allowed to remove moles which are completely benign and have to refer lumps which could be serious cancers. We can remove lumps which are painful, get infected or caught in clothing, and sometimes we remove growths or biopsies of skin to diagnose conditions.

Obesity management clinic

Our nurses offer advice about weight management and will help you to lose weight when you are ready to make the effort. They will monitor changes if you are prescribed orlistat, a tablet which stops fat being absorbed by the bowel.

Smoking cessation clinic

We have a weekly smoking cessation clinic at which our excellent smoking adviser can help to keep you motivated to make this most important health change.
