Shilpa graduated from University of Wales College of Medicine 1991 and worked in various practices before becoming principal at Stratford Village Dental Practice in 1994. She has also taught at the Eastman Hospital School of Hygiene & Therapy and has done some community dentistry where she gained experience working with the elderly, children and the handicapped. She has developed a special interest in periodontology and tooth whitening and has worked at the Smile Studio on Shaftesbury Avenue with Dr Wyman Chan. She has also completed her training in the latest techniques of facial rejuvenation at The Bob Khanna Training Institute.

Shilpa’s current areas of special interest are Facial aesthetic treatments and tooth whitening.

Outside dentistry, Shilpa likes to spend her spare time on health & fitness and personal development. She has achieved a masters in NLP. Shilpa also enjoys the company of family & friends and travelling

Mr Wassim Chawich

Dental Practitioner

Wassim graduated in 1993. He then worked in various hospitals and dental practices. His experience in the UK included a Senior House Officer and then a Staff Grade jobs in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery departments.

He became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, and then obtained a Certificate in Surgical & Prosthodontic Implantology from the Eastman Dental Institute – UCL.

In 2012 Wassim completed a specialist training programme in Prosthodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute – UCL, at the end of this four-year part-time course Wassim obtained a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics and a Membership in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Wassim is currently registered on the General Dental Council Specialist List as a Prosthodontist Specialist.

As a Prosthodontist Specialist Wassim provides simple and complex prosthodontic treatment including full mouth reconstruction, cosmetic dentistry and removable prostheses and has a special interest in Oral Surgery. Wassim accepts referrals for prosthodontic assessment and treatment and for implants including all their related surgical procedures including: Sinus Lifts, Block Grafts, Soft Tissue Grafts and lower jaw nerve repositioning.

He regularly carries out sedation (oral and intravenous) to treat nervous patients.

Dr Khadija Bakali

Dentist

Khadija graduated from The Institute of Karolinska, Stockholm, Sweden in 2009.

She has also worked on Isle of Man for three years shortly after graduation, till she relocated to London in 2012 to further improve her clinical skills.

Khadija is a certified INMAN aligner Dentist and is completing a one-year post graduate course in Cosmetic Dentistry and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry.

Furthermore she volunteers for Dentaid by taking part in emergency outreach Dentistry in Morocco.

Khadija's particular interests include Cosmetic Dentistry and Paedodontics.

She is committed to providing exceptional quality of care to my patients.

With my extensive language skills she can offer treatment in English, Swedish, Arabic, French and Spanish.

Agnieszka Glowocka

Hyginest

Agnieszka qualified in Poland in 2007 as a dental hygienist.  She over 8 years of experience in dentistry and has been working in UK since 2010 in dental practices across London. 

Agnieszka loves her job and helping others.  Thanks to her knowledge and experience she can help people to keep their teeth and gums healthy.

She enjoy all the aspects of her work, but has a special interest in prophylaxis. Agnieszka believes that prevention is the easiest and the best way to stay healthy.

Mrs Hannah Peek

Practice Manager

Hannah has worked in dental practice for 23 years. During this time she has worked her way up the ladder from being a qualified Dental Nurse, Receptionist, Treatment Plan Co-Coordinator and has been a Practice Manager for the last 14 years.

Hannah enjoys teaching other Practice Managers and Receptionists on how to make their practice successful. She has achieved both BDA Good Practice and Investors in People for practices she has worked in.

Hannah is also President of the Association of Dental Administrators and Managers.

Ms Zana Vasaitiene

Dental Nurse

Zana is very professional, ambitious and cheerful and a joy to work with.

Always very keen to learn more and keeps up to date with dental courses and research.

Ms Jessica Madhu

Dental Nurse

Jessica has been working as a dental nurse for 5 years. 

 She enjoys being a dental nurse and is especially good at surgical treatments and making of mouth guards. 

She is also good at giving oral health advice. Outside work, she enjoys spending time with her children, AJ & Noel. 

Ms Deborah Johnson

Receptionist

Deborah is one of our practice receptionists she is also a Registered Dental Nurse.

Deborah has been a receptionist here at Stratford Dental since March 2015.

She has a vast knowledge of all aspects of dentistry due to working in the surgery and at the reception desk. Deborah professional experience includes improving the patient experience, managing patient safety and offering her services as an experienced counsellor.

She ensures that everything at the practice runs smoothly and always aims to provide a first class experience for all our patients.

In her spare time Deborah enjoys weekend breaks alongside a good night of Dancing.
