Dr Joey Hossain really enjoys the team environment of Ferring Dental Practice and was attracted to our ethos and outlook. He qualified from the University of Wales, Cardiff in 2002 and has been working in Sussex for the past thirteen years. Over these years he has gained extensive clinical knowledge and skill, with a keen interest in all aspects of dentistry. He continually strives to be at the forefront of his profession so our high-end treatment options give him the perfect platform to be the best dentist he can be.

Joey was attracted to dentistry because of the variation of his day, he likes the fact that no two mouths are the same! He appreciates a career where he can work with his hands, and he particularly enjoys cosmetic and root canal treatment. The modern touch of Ferring Dental Practice suits Joey, and his very approachable manner is important to us as we believe in taking time to explain all treatment options available, and to make our patients as comfortable as possible.

Joey lives in Ashington with his wife Rachel and their growing young family. Their dog Nelson, a Hungarian vizsla, regularly takes him running. Joey loves to cook, and has been a Chelsea fan since the age of three.

Sualeh is accumulating so many letters after his name that we may need a bigger door to fit them on! He moved to the area for his job with us, and in typical Sualeh fashion, has continuously developed himself professionally. His latest desire is to specialise in implants, whereby he can provide a fixed replacement tooth, restoring your mouth in one day, and Lumineers, which are thin veneers that transform your smile completely for life. His enthusiasm is infectious, and he shares it around his other passions - cricket, football, keyboards, guitar… basically he is good at everything, including producing daughters (three so far!) He was brought up in Saudi Arabia and loved his 6 monthly dental check-ups so much that he used to play ‘dentists’ with the kitchen cutlery back at home. He trained in Pakistan then had to go through a lengthy process of overseas registration exams to practise here. There are many things that give him enormous satisfaction about his job, as he sees that it changes lives, enabling people to eat whatever they want and smile confidently. We are delighted to release Sualeh from Ferring Dental Practice on Fridays in order to pursue his professional development as we are committed to providing top quality care

Dr Peter John Donald Saner

Principal Dentist and Clinical Director

Peter is the principal dentist and Clinical Director at Ferring Dental Practice. He graduated from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne in 1987 and then began working in Community Dentistry in Edinburgh, with people who had difficulty getting treatment in a general dental practice. After completing a postgraduate degree at the University of Dundee he worked in hospitals in West Lothian caring for people in long stay facilities and nursing homes as well as working in general dental practice. He has years of experience and a deep affection for dentistry of all kinds. For example, he loves to fit dentures almost as if it were his favourite hobby. A part of his master’s degree was dedicated to the study of dentures. As well as that he is passionate about caring for people who suffer from periodontal (gum) disease and has done extensive further training in orthodontic treatment. Peter lives in Ferring with his wife Kath and their 4 children. With what little time he has left, Peter also works part time as one of the leaders of Jubilee Community Church in Worthing. He reads avidly, zones out from the world with a peaceful art session and enjoys a bit of early U2 or renaissance polyphony.
