Baby clinic with health visitor

Well baby clinic surveillance checks for the under 5s are provided by the health visitors.  The Health Visitors are part of the Early Start team and are based at Middleton Community Health Centre, Leeds 10.

Early Start Well Child clinics are held as detailed below:-
Tuesday: 1 - 3pm at Beeston Community Clinic
Wednesday: 4.30 - 5.30pm at Parkside Community Clinic
Thursday: 1 - 3pm at Middleton Health Centre (appointment only: please ring 0113

Thursday: (1st of every month) 2 - 3pm at Two Willows Children Centre
Friday: (1st & 3rd of every month) 9.30 - 11am at Cottingley Children's Centre.

Child health and development

A 6-week check is carried out routinely by the doctor on all new babies.
This will be arranged by letter shortly after birth.

Child Immunisations

Child Immunisations are given by our Practice Nurses Monday to Friday.

COPD clinic with spirometry

Annual review is by the doctor is offered to all patients who suffer with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.
Our Practice Nurses and Health Care Assistants are also able to perform spirometry testing.

Learning disability health check
Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC - eg IUD or implant) - Contraceptive Implant & Coils

The practice provides a contraceptive implant insertion and removal service for female patients. This service is providced by Dr Singh, Dr Shivamurthy and Barbara Hall.
To arrange an appointment please speak to our Patient Care Adviser team. From May 2018 Dr Shivamurthy will be holding a monthly coil clinic.

Minor surgery (e.g. removal of moles and skin lesions) - provided in-house - Minor Surgery clinic

Our doctors are able to treat verrucas and  warts in the Minor Surgery clinic.

Our doctors are specially trained on administering joint injections.  Injections into painful joints are given by  all GPs.  These are given in a rotuine surgery appointment.

Dr Singh and Dr Shivamurthy are also able to remove lesions/moles in the Minor Surgery clinic. The Minor Surgery clinic is held evey 2 weeks. Patients are required to see the doctor prior to an appointment in the Minir Surgery clinic.

This service requires a referral by your GP

Phlebotomy - Blood clinic

Blood clinics are held on a daily basis by our Healthcare Assistants
An appointment needs to be booked for the blood clinic.
