Services

All of our patients diagnosed with asthma are offered an annual review which is carried out by our Practice Nurses. This will determine how well controlled your asthma is, identify any changes to your medication that may be needed and answer any questions you may have.
A letter will be sent to you each year offering you an appointment which can be made by calling reception on 01227 452444.

Childhood immunisations are carried out by our Practice Nurses. You will be invited to attend when your childs' immunisations are due and you can book an appointment with the receptionist by calling 01227 452444

All of our patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) are invited in to see the Practice Nurse annually for a review of their condition. This will include an assessment of their respiratory function, a review of their medication and a check of their blood pressure as well as discussing any difficulties their illness may be causing.

We hold a Consultant led outpatient Dermatology clinic at the Canterbury Health Centre on Wednesdays

This service requires a referral by your GP

Leg ulcers are treated by our Practice Nurses during their clinics. To make an appointment please speak to a member of reception staff by calling 01227 452444.

Dr Lilley provides a joint injection service for those whose condition would benefit e.g. chronic joint pain. It will be necessary to make an appointment with your GP for an initial assessment and they will then be able to make an appointment for you with Dr Lilley .

Many conditions requiring minor surgery e.g. cysts and skin lesions can be treated in-house by Dr Molony at the Sturry Surgery. If you have a condition that requires minor surgery you should make an appointment with your GP for an assessment and they will then refer you to Dr Molony.

If you require a blood test this can be done by booking an appointment with one of our Practice Nurses. To do this you can ring reception on 01227 452444.

Physiotherapy is available in-house for musculoskeletal problems and includes the use of accupuncture where appropriate.

This service requires a referral by your GP

A counselling service is provided in-house by KCA. This is accessed by referral from a GP and so in the first instance you should make an appointment with a GP for an assessment. They can then refer you to the service if it is appropriate for your condition.

Smoking cessation advice and medication can be obtained by making an appointment with one of our Health Care Assistants. Stopping smoking is one of the most effective ways of reducing the risks of many diseases later in life.

Our Practice Nurses can offer a wide range of travel advice and vaccinations for foreign travel. If you are going abroad please make an appointment with a Practice Nurse 4-6 weeks beforehand to allow time for any vaccinations that may be needed.
An appointment can be made with reception by calling 01227 452444. Please note that not all vaccinations are free of charge and you will be advised of any costs for recommended vaccinations during your consultation.
