Vinay graduated in Dentistry, with distinction in Orthodontics, Oral Surgery and Paedodontics from Bangalore University, India in 1993. He then embarked on a three-year full-time specialist-training programme in Orthodontics (1994) at Chennai, India and was awarded a Master’s Degree in Orthodontics in 1997.
On relocation to the UK in 1997, Vinay has spent several years in post-graduate education in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal London Hospital in London, and at Charles Clifford Hospital in Sheffield, where he has gained experience in all forms of Orthodontic and Oral Surgery care. At the end of his specialist training he was awarded a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons, England.
Vinay is registered on the Specialist List for Orthodontics and Oral Surgery with the General Dental Council. He is also a member of the British Orthodontics Society, American Association of Orthodontics and the British Lingual Orthodontic Society.
Vinay’s main clinical interests are in the treatment of children and adult patients and the use of the latest generation of low-force fixed appliance techniques. His passion is in growth modification, or Dentofacial Orthopaedics, in children. He also specializes in inconspicuous treatments involving Invisalign, Incognito/Win lingual braces for adults and children, and Ceramic appliances.
He has keen interest in those cases needing Orthognathic surgery, TMJ problems and complex restorative treatments. Vinay has a passion for providing the very best for his patients by working within a multidisciplinary team. In addition, he is actively involved in teaching, continuing education, and clinical research: a role he sees as paramount to improving the quality of Orthodontics being provided as a whole.
Vinay treats patients in Marlow and Wokingham and also visits multidisciplinary Specialist Clinics in Bourne End and Henley for consultations.
