Vinay graduated in Dentistry, with distinction in Orthodontics, Oral Surgery and Paedodontics from Bangalore University, India in 1993. He then embarked on a three-year full-time specialist-training programme in Orthodontics (1994) at Chennai, India and was awarded a Master’s Degree in Orthodontics in 1997.

On relocation to the UK in 1997, Vinay has spent several years in post-graduate education in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Royal London Hospital in London, and at Charles Clifford Hospital in Sheffield, where he has gained experience in all forms of Orthodontic and Oral Surgery care. At the end of his specialist training he was awarded a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons, England.

Vinay is registered on the Specialist List for Orthodontics and Oral Surgery with the General Dental Council. He is also a member of the British Orthodontics Society, American Association of Orthodontics and the British Lingual Orthodontic Society.

Vinay’s main clinical interests are in the treatment of children and adult patients and the use of the latest generation of low-force fixed appliance techniques. His passion is in growth modification, or Dentofacial Orthopaedics, in children. He also specializes in inconspicuous treatments involving Invisalign, Incognito/Win lingual braces for adults and children, and Ceramic appliances.

He has keen interest in those cases needing Orthognathic surgery, TMJ problems and complex restorative treatments. Vinay has a passion for providing the very best for his patients by working within a multidisciplinary team. In addition, he is actively involved in teaching, continuing education, and clinical research: a role he sees as paramount to improving the quality of Orthodontics being provided as a whole.

Vinay treats patients in Marlow and Wokingham and also visits multidisciplinary Specialist Clinics in Bourne End and Henley for consultations.

Dr Finn Geoghegan

Specialist Orthodontist

Finn graduated from Dental School at the National University of Ireland in 2002. He spent 4 years in general practice in the London area developing his interests in preventive and minimal intervention dentistry. In 2006, he worked in the Dental Hospital in Sydney, Australia before joining the University of Hong Kong to begin his 3 year specialty training in Orthodontics. He graduated with a Masters in Orthodontics (MOrth, HKU) and a membership diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (MOrth RCSEdin). In 2011, Finn was awarded the WJB Houston scholarship by the European Orthodontic Society (EOS) and in 2013 he gained provisional membership of the European Board of Orthodontists (EBO). He has a particular interest in evidence-based Orthodontics. He is also a PhD research student in craniofacial biology at King's College, London. Finn treats patients of all ages. He also utilizes a range of difference appliances; including Invisalign, cosmetic, self-ligating and lingual braces.

Dr Amal Maizar

Specialist Orthodontist

After qualifying as a dentist in 1992 (Damas), Amal continued her education and gained a Diploma in Maxillofacial Surgery with distinction. She was part of a highly experienced team performing complex cosmetic procedures such as corrective jaw surgery, oncology and cleft lip and palate and was also involved in teaching and supervising undergraduates in the Radiology and Oral Surgery departments. She then undertook a Fellowship in Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and was awarded a Diploma in Clinical Dental Science with distinction from the University of London.

Amal undertook postgraduate training in Orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Hospital gaining a Masters degree in Science from the University of London and Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Glasgow in 2008. She has extensive experience in using a wide variety of systems including the Damon System, Invisalign, and the latest technology in hidden braces (Incognito and WIN). Her clinical interests include growth modification in children and complex treatments for adults needing inter-disciplinary Orthodontic and Facial Aesthetic treatments. She is a member of the British Orthodontic society, the British Lingual Orthodontic society and the American Association of Orhtodontists.

Dr Nabel Mezier

Specialist Orthodontist

Nabel qualified as a dentist in 1996 and he then worked in both general dental practice and dental hospitals. In 2000 he undertook three years of postgraduate orthodontic training at Guy’s Hospital. He qualified in 2003 and was awarded a Master of Science Degree and the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, allowing him to be registered as a specialist orthodontist with the General Dental Council. Nabel is the nominated trainer for the Orthodontic Auxiliary Nurses at Total Orthodontics. He is also a member of the British Orthodontic Society. Nabel’s main clinical interests are self ligating, surgical and hypondontia cases.

Dr Adam Ryan

Specialist Orthodontist

Adam graduated from dentistry at Queensland University in 1982.  He relocated to the UK in 1983 and spent several years working in general practice in Middlesex.

He began a three year full-time training course in Orthodontics in 1991 based at Guy’s and Kingston hospital.  Upon graduating he received a Master of Science Degree and the Membership in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England allowing him to be registered as a Specialist Orthodontist with the General Dental Council.

Following completion of his specialist training, Adam started work in orthodontic practices in London and Wokingham and joined us full-time in 1994.

Adam is a member of the British Orthodontic Society, and his main clinical interest is growth modification treatment.

Adam treats patients at our Maidenhead and Wokingham practices.
