From the braces fitted by our in-house Orthodontist, to the anti-wrinkle injections administered by Dr Rick, our highly qualified staff are able to provide an impressive range of treatments.

Our caring nurses pride themselves on easing any anxieties that patients may experience and our friendly reception team offer high levels of customer service.

We have excellent dental therapists who offer a range of hygiene treatments and who work alongside and complement the work of our team of dentists.

Dental Implants are offered here at The Dental House as well as lip enhancement treatments, composite bonding, stain removal treatments and teeth whitening. We have staff who are qualified in providing specialist root-canal treatment as well as those who are able to sedate very nervous patients. Dr Stuart Garton

Principal Dentist

Stuart Garton, our Clinical Director, graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2008.  He won several academic and clinical prizes at undergraduate level including the Thomas H Bickerton Prize in Anatomy and Physiology, Dental Alumni Association Prize and the 3M Unitek Prize in Orthodontics.

Since qualification, he has worked as a general dental practitioner in Liverpool developing a particular interest in reconstructive and aesthetic dentistry.

Stuart has undertaken extensive postgraduate training.  He has achieved the prestigious accolade of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal College of Surgeons of England.  He gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Dental Implantology from the University of Salford and a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Stuart has completed postgraduate training in multiple orthodontic systems.  He is able to offer Invisalign, Six Month Smiles and Fastbraces to our patients.

Stuart has been involved with the training of newly qualified dentists as a Foundation Trainer.  He has recently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Clinical Practice with Edge Hill University.

Outside of Dentistry, Stuart enjoys spending time with his wife, and three young children. He is an avid supporter of Liverpool Football Club, and regularly enjoys going to watch them play.  He enjoys going to the gym and running, having completed the Liverpool Marathon in 2012.

Dr Lauren Lloyd-Jones

Dentist

Dr Lauren Lloyd-Jones graduated from the University of Liverpool School of Dental Sciences- BDS in 2012 and has since worked for as an associate in a couple of local dental practices.

Lauren has been involved in the Healthy Living Dentist programme which focuses on health inequalities across the region and aims to overcome such issues. She is a firm believer that dentists play an important role in their local communities and should strive to give the best possible care and health advice to their patients.

To relax and unwind, Lauren likes to keep fit, read and paint. She is actually a keen portrait painter who has sold some of her unique pieces for commission.

We appreciate that, for whatever reason, some patients do request to see a female dentist and we are glad to be able to offer this at The Dental House.

Dr Riccardo Lo Giudice

Dentist

Riccardo graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2014 with distinction in Restorative Dentistry. He was honoured to receive the Gilmour Prize in Restorative Dentistry for clinical and academic achievements. In addition, Rick gained a British Society of Paediatric Dentistry (BSPD) Prize along with the prestigious University of Liverpool Raj Srivastava Prize in Professionalism. Riccardo has recently passed all of his MJDF examinations.

Rick is currently in the process of advancing his training and has successfully completed the first part of his Membership exams for the Royal College of Surgeons London. He provides both NHS and Private dentistry and is a registered provider of Fastbraces Orthodontic Treatment. His passion is providing the highest quality of care for his patients and making nervous patients feel at ease.

Outside of dentistry he is a keen footballer who regularly plays 7- a- side matches. Riccardo enjoys attempting to play golf, and unwinding with a good box set.

Dr Aoife Monk

Specialist Orthodontist

After graduating from King’s College London Dental School in 2010, Aoife completed dental foundation training in general practice in London before returning to King’s College London as a Paediatric and Oral Surgery Senior House Officer.

 She then worked as an Orthognathic clinical fellow at the Royal London Hospital and achieved Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

In 2013 Aoife was accepted onto the orthodontic specialisation programme at the University of Liverpool, working at Liverpool University Dental Hospital and Arrowe Park Hospital in the Wirral.

 During her Specialist training, Aoife was also an honorary clinical lecturer, involved in orthodontic teaching for dental undergraduate students. She successfully completed her training in 2016, passing the Membership in Orthodontics exams at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and was accepted onto the General Dental Council’s register of orthodontic specialists. 

During her training she also achieved a Doctorate of Dental Science from the University of Liverpool for her research thesis entitled pharmacological interventions for pain relief during orthodontic treatment: A Cochrane review. Aoife has presented both regionally and nationally, winning the University Teachers Group Research Presentation Prize at the British Orthodontic Conference and the Clinical Cases Prize at the University of Liverpool in 2016.

Aoife enjoys treating both children and adults, and will be offering a range of braces including metal, ceramic and lingual appliances as well as a range of aligner systems including Invisalign.

Outside of orthodontics Aoife enjoys travelling the world, eating good food and scuba diving.

Dr Viraj Patel

Dentist

Dr Viraj Patel

Viraj qualified from the University of Liverpool Dental School with honours and distinction, and has since gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in catering for patients’ treatment needs.

 He is highly motivated and passionate about delivering treatment which can achieve both aesthetic and functional results. During his degree, he was awarded the University Scholarship Prize for Oral Health, which reflects on how Viraj takes great pride in helping to facilitate lifestyle changes which can improve patients’ health and well-being.

In the future, he endeavours to continue in his pursuit of knowledge in order to achieve his goals of being able to provide advanced, ethical and high quality clinical care he is committed to further advancing his knowledge and qualifications and is currently working towards becoming a member of the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh, having already passed the first part.

He has a particular interest in the future of dental treatment, and the integration of digital technology to facilitate the use of advanced and innovative techniques.

Outside of dentistry, Viraj enjoys spending time with his family, cat, and chopping board (as he is a keen cook) . He is a Formula 1 fanatic, big Liverpool fan, and enjoys spending his evenings cycling along the River Mersey at The Albert Docks.

Dr Kate Teiman

Dentist

Dr Kate Teiman 

  After graduating from The University of Bristol, Kate completed her foundation training which included a placement at Scarborough hospital. She has since worked as a Dentist in Liverpool.

We are delighted that Kate has joined our team here at The Dental House. Her special interest in cosmetic dentistry means that Kate can offer stunning smile makeovers for our patients.

Kate is particularly interested in minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry- especially the use of composite bonding to improve her patients’ smiles.
