Mr Steven Kenneth Lomas

Dental Practitioner

Steve qualified from Birmingham Dental Hospital in 1992 and subsequently moved to Crewe and opened The Old Surgery Dental Practice in 1998.  Steve is a very experienced dentist, and is the founding partner of this practice. He is dedicated to providing a quality service and will happily discuss all aspects of your dental care needs.

Steve is a Full Member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a member of the British Academy of Restorative Dentistry, and facilitates a South Cheshire study group on behalf of the BARD, providing postgraduate education for other dentists. He spent 2010 completing a Certificate in Aesthetic Dentistry with the prestigious Tipton Training academy, and was delighted to have been given the accolade of Dentist of the Year 2010 by the Academy. In 2012 Steve was awarded a Diploma in Restorative Dentistry.

Steve is also very keen on cosmetic orthodontic treatments, to help quickly and easily realign teeth to significantly improve smiles without the need for more destructive crown and veneer work – beautiful results can now be achieved just through a combination of realignment, whitening and sometimes bonding a little white filling to replace worn edges of teeth.

Steve is one of the most experienced providers of Six Month Smiles in the North of England, and was the first dentist in South Cheshire to provide the Inman Aligner.

Mr Richard John Willis

Dental Practitioner

Rich graduated from Birmingham Dental Hospital in 1993 and moved to The Old Surgery in August 2000 to work alongside Steve Lomas as partners.  Rich is highly committed to a preventative approach and works alongside the hygiene team to help patients maintain excellent dental health. 

He spent 2012 completing a Certificate in Cosmetic and Aesthetic Dentistry with the prestigious Tipton Training Academy, and was delighted to have been given the accolade of Best Dentist by the Academy.

Rich is also now a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and later in 2013 will be attending the Dawson Academy to study the diagnosis and management of tooth wear, occlusion and jaw joints.

Rich has continued to develop his interest in cosmetic adult orthodontics, and has also undergone certification in provision of Invisalign invisible braces, Six Month Smiles (short term adult orthodontics), and “MTM” (minor tooth movement) and “Secret Smiles” Lingual invisible braces. These techniques coupled with experience in comprehensive orthodontic techniques allows Rich to provide minimally invasive cosmetic orthodontic techniques for straightening and improving smiles where possible without the need for more destructive crowns or veneers.

Mr Hassan Maan

General Dental Practitioner

Hassan joined us in December 2012 having qualified from Leeds University in 2008 with a distinction in microbiology and completed his vocational training in Manchester. Hassan then returned to Leeds where he worked as a Senior House Officer in the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Department at Leeds General before moving to Cheshire, where he then worked at a Practice in Runcorn for several years. During his time at Leeds General; Hassan also taught dental students during oral surgery clinics and assisted them during training.

Hassan has a keen interest in cosmetic and restorative dentistry and also oral surgery and can also provide facial rejuvenation Hassan is currently undergoing a very challenging clinical masters degree in fixed and removable prosthodontics including advanced restorative procedures and smile makeovers at King’s College London.

Ms Christina Bellamy

Dental practitioner provides treatment for children in conjunction with inhalation sedation

Christina specialises in treating nervous children with inhalation sedation (happy-gas). We offer a referral service to surrounding practices who refer their nervous patients for treatment needed.

Ms Diana Louise Tucker

Oral Surgeon

Diana graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1992 and completed her vocational training year in Bromsgrove, before embarking on a hospital career in 1994, subsequently working as a Senior House Officer in hospitals across the North West and the West Midlands before attaining her Fellowship in Dental Surgery in 1997.

Diana took her current position as a Staff Grade Surgeon in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Stafford Hospital in 1999, and was awarded her status as a Specialist in Oral Surgery in 2001.

Diana has been with The Old Surgery Dental Practice since 1998, limiting her practice to minor oral surgery (usually the extraction of teeth), with the aid of intravenous sedation for more complex procedures and for our more nervous patients.

Mr Tom Healey

Oral Surgeon

Tom qualified from the London Hospital gaining a B.D.S. in 1986. After a year in Southend Hospital he returned to Cheshire. Tom has worked in departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in both Chester and Leighton Hospitals for 25 years. During this time he has gained his F.D.S. and recognition as a Specialist in Oral Surgery. Tom joined The Old Surgery team in 2012 and receives internal and external referrals for minor oral surgery with sedation where necessary.

Mr Bayan Al-Kassab

Oral Surgeon

In 2012 Bayan joined our oral surgery team and receieves internal and external referrals for minor oral surgery with or without sedation.  Since 1994 Bayan mainly works at Macclesfield General Hospital as a Hospital Practitioner in Oral Surgery and at the Community Dental Services in East Cheshire.
