Services

The health visitors monitor growth and development of children under 5 years of age. Ypu should see them for your baby's height and weight measurements. They can also advise on common mother and baby problems.
You do not need an appointment to see them.
Clinics are held on Friday mornings, 9.30 - 11.15 at Greet Children's Centre, Percy Road, Sparkhill, B11 3ND Tel: 0121 675 6372

All babies are checked by doctor for growth and development at 8 weeks.
The clinic is held on Wednesday morning, 10.30 - 12
You do not require an appointment.
When your baby is 8 weeks old, you should bring them for check-up on the following Wednesday. Please do not bring the child to clinic if the child is ill. You should make an appointment in rouitne surgery for the ill child.

The practice nurse gives all recommended Immunisations to children.
The clinic is held on Wednesday morning, 10.30 - 12.
You do not need an appointment to attend this clinic.
You can check schedule of immunisation in your baby's red book and attend when injections are due. We normally phone to remind you a day before clinic. If you receive a letter from NHS to attend surgery for injections you should always phone surgery to confirm.

The practice provides Minor Injuries and Wound Management Services. Please ask the surgery receptionists to make an appropriate appointment with the Practice nurse, HCA or Doctor.

The practice has fully equipped Minor Operating Theatre. Many small operations such as removal of moles and skin lesions, lumps and bumps or injection treatments are routinely carried out by our Doctors.
You need to make an appointment with a Doctor for him to see and discuss the advisability of operation. If it is appropriate the Doctor will arrange appointment for your operation.

Our patients do not need to go to Hospital for their blood test.
A phlebotomist from City Hospital regularly visits our surgery every Tuesday mornings from 9:45 - 11:40 am. The Phlebotomist will take your bloods and send to the Hospital for testing.
You should make an appointment at Surgery Reception.

Patients registered with the Practice can have travel vaccinations at the surgery. Ideally vaccinations should be carried out 4 weeks before travel, but it is never late. Reception staff can advise you which vaccinations are required for your travel. We do not vaccinate for Yellow Fever and Japanese Encephalitis. You will need an appointment with the Practice Nurse. She will also advise you on other aspects of Travel Health.
