Lisa Jackson has been practice Nurse at the Woodside Medical Centre for over 9 years. We are very proud to announce that Lisa quallified as Advanced Nurse Practitioner in September 2016.
Advanced Nurse practitioners make an important contribution to the NHS and Lisa will compliment the Doctors which is highly relevant in view of the increasing demand on GP time. She will work as part of a multi-discilinary team. Lisa will undertake a comprehensive assessment of a patient problems, examine the patient and request necessary investigations. LIsa will be able to prescribe and work with individuals to manage their medicines and follow patients up with a review when needed

All Patients with a Chronic Disease illness should be seen on an annual basis you can make appointments to attend this clinic for advice and support from our Practice Nurse and Assistant Practitioner
All new babies are invited for regular check-ups from eight weeks old to attend our baby clinic which is run by the GP usually on a Tuesday morning. All other immunizations are carried out by appointment with our Practice Nurse

Minor procedures can be carried in our treatment room. Please discuss this with your doctor who will then arrange for you to be given an appointment.
Obesity + Diabetes = Diabesity
The Diabesity Prevention Programme aims to:
Assist in the early identification of people with type 2 diabetes, prediabetes and high risk individuals.
Provide a structured educational approach (behavioural change and lifestyle intervention) provided by a qualified health trainer.
Provide regular one-to-one reviews and patient support.
