We encourage all patients to have their young children and babies screened for health, growth and development.  Dr. Catherine M. Aitken and Dr Josphat M Gitonga in conjunction with the Health Visitor undertake the regular screening of babies who are registered at our practice.  These checks are usually conducted at the same time as the mother's post natal check.

All children will be called for vaccination through the computer system run by Combined Healthcare.  This clinic is run on a Wednesday afternoon and is conducted by the Practice Nurse and Health Care Support Worker.  A doctor is available should he/she be needed.  Please bring your child's health record with you when you attend.

We provide for our patients a minor surgery service which includes removal of cysts, lumps and injection of joints.  Surgical procedures are performed under sterile conditions.  These are done at a special appointment after consultation with the Doctor.
We are also able to treat warts within the Practice.  This treatment by freezing of a wart is only suitable for certain types of lesion.  You will need to be assessed first by a Doctor before an appointment for this can be arranged.

The Biddulph Primary Care Centre makes rooms available to C.P.N.s and Counsellors from the psychology/psychiatry departments of the North Staffordshire Hospitals.

We are happy to deal with all enquiries regarding foreign travel, including vaccinations recommended and general advice.  If you are planning to travel abroad, please contact the surgery six to eight weeks or more prior to travel in order to allow sufficient time for your required vaccination course.  We provide a wide range of travel vaccinations (except Yellow Fever).
