This Health Visitor-led service is run on the community room at the Oak Tree Centre on Thursday mornings from 9 - 11. Your baby's growth can be assessed and you can discuss your baby's development directly with the Health Visitor. For details of other local baby clinics, please contact the health visiting team directly on 0300 029 50 50 option 3.

Child health and development

Routine child development checks are performed by the GPs at 6 weeks and 8 months of age. A further assessment is made at 2.5 years by the health visiting team.
If you have any concerns about your child's development the health visitors and GPs are of course happy to discuss this during other appointments.
Routine audiology (hearing) tests are performed at birth at the Maternity Unit.

Child Immunisations

Childhood immunisations are performed by our Practice Nurse. You will receive a letter from the Child Health Department automatically when your child is due a vaccination
