Asthma Clinic - Asthma ClinicAsthma nurses are available to monitor peak flow and general condition and can advise
on self-management plans and treatment. Regular monitoring (at least annually) is
recommended and a recall system for patients is in operation. Clinics are held at
Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge.
A clinic for the assessment and care of well babies attended by health visitors, practice
nurses and a GP held at Mytholmroyd and Hebden Bridge.
Appointments are only necessary for routine immunisations and eight-week checks
and will be sent by letter from the Calderdale Primary Care Trust. Please note: if your
baby or infant is unwell, and you think they may have an infection, they should be seen
in surgery and not in the clinic
Assessment at eight weeks is offered by the doctor at the baby clinic to ensure progress of a child’s natural development
Diabetes Clinic providing insulin initiation - Diabetic ClinicDiabetic clinics are held regularly at Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd. At the clinic,
practice nurses qualified in diabetes care and podiatrists are available to monitor, treat
and offer advice on blood pressure, diet and foot care. An appointment will be sent to
you for annual routine monitoring.

Learning disability health checkMinor surgery (e.g. removal of moles and skin lesions) - provided in-house - Minor Surgery
The practice doctors perform minor surgical procedures, such as removal of small cysts, some skin lesions and joint injections. These can be carried out under local anaesthetic at the Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd Surgeries.

Travel health with yellow fever - Immunisation/Travel VaccinationsChildren
We strongly recommend that you protect your child by immunisation. Only rarely, and in special circumstances, should immunisation be omitted.
The doctors, nurses and health visitors will be pleased to advise you at the baby clinic.
Adults
Some immunisations like Tetanus and Polio need repeating every few years. Special immunisations may be required for travel abroad. The practice nurse will be happy to advise you on the latest travel immunisation recommendations depending on your destination. Please let us know your holiday destination at least one month before your date of travel.
The practice is an authorised yellow fever vaccination centre
