Services

Asthma Clinic - Asthma Review

These clinics provide regular checks for all patients with asthma.

Through these clinics we ensure you are receiving the most appropriate medication and treatment.

There is no specific clinic for these reviews, patients will be sent a letter to make an appointment annually when the review is due.

Baby clinic with health visitor

These are clinics run weekly on a Tuesday afternoon at the surgery with the health visitors and a GP providing advice on keeping your baby healthy.

We have a drop in baby clinic between 1.30 and 2.30 where no appointment is required.

Child Immunisations

Our health visitors and practice nurses provide routine immunisations to protect young children from serious childhood diseases. We can offer up-to-date advice and guidance about these immunisations.
Vaccinations - Children: All children should be have routine vaccinations as follows:
2 months: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis (whooping cough), Polio, Hib & Pneumococcal
3 months: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio, Hib (type b) & Meningitis C
4 months: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio, Hib (type b), Meningitis C & Pneumococcal
Around 12 months: Hib (type b), Meningitis C
Around 13 months: Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR), Pneumococcal
3 years and 4 months or so after: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio & MMR
13 to 18 years old: Diphtheria, Tetanus, Polio

COPD clinic with spirometry

To help us manage this condition, we use a spirometer (breathing test) to help diagnose, treat and monitor patients with chronic obstructive airways disease, chronic bronchitis and emphysema. A spirometry is not always performed at all review appointments.

Diabetes Clinic providing insulin initiation - Diabetic Clinic

We provide a Level 1 Diabetic Service for our patients only

These are offered for appropriate conditions when necessary. Although a referral is not required for these patients must first see a GP.

Long-Acting Reversible Contraception (LARC - eg IUD or implant)

The practice provides a comprehensive service within normal surgery hours.

Minor surgery (e.g. removal of moles and skin lesions) - provided in-house

The practice provides a minor surgery service eg the removal of warts and verrucae by liquid nitrogen.

We have an on site, late night opening pharmacy.

Opening hours are:

Monday to Friday - 7am - 11pm
Saturday - 8am - 8pm
Sunday - 10am - 6pm

Phlebotomy

These appointments are available Monday to Friday AM and Wednesday and Thursday PM. Patients must see a GP prior to arranging blood test appointments.

Smoking cessation clinic

These appointments are made by prior arrangement organised through the Doctor or Practice Nurse. Although a referral is not required for this clinic patients must see a GP prior to arranging a smoking cessation appointment with the nurses.
