Advanced Nurse Practitioners are able to diagnose, treat and prescribe medication for a variety of acute conditions and refer you to other services if needed.

Advanced Nurse Practitioners are not able to treat pregnant women and babies under 6 months old.

The Practice Nurse is responsible for reviewing any patients with a chronic disease such as diabetes or COPD.

She also provides other services such as cervical screening, contraception and adult & child immunisations
